I just bought a 1987 454 ltd last July 3 all I had to do was clean the carburetors, I put on 2000 miles last year and in august I raced a brand new mustang it still had the dealer plates on I smoked him so bad 2 times these are dam fast bikes love them. Over the winter doing some cosmetic repairs and polishing the aluminum. This summer my brother in law wants to race me with his Harley, I told him he ain't got a chance in hell. Oh and it's the same engine as the 500 ninja the ninja is rated 45 hp and the 454 is rated 50 hp.

That's incredible. Yea mine I did a lot of work to the engine that will be shown in later videos. (Mainly Valve adjustments) I go through the process of how to adjust them correctly, set timing, etc. I pretty much know how to do the carburetors like the back of my hand now. Make sure to keep the stock airbox and filters because even though I had the stock set up that was causing me loads of problems. Kept having a dead spot mid rev range and it was due to the fact the filters were not letting the correct amount of air in. So now since I know that that was the issue and fixed it it runs fantastic now. This bike has taught me a hell of a lot of knowledge that I had no idea of before what to do. The last thing I may need is a set of tires and fork oil to be changed. But I'm sure this thing could run for another 30,000 miles no problem.

Kawasaki 454 ltd: I want to take the battery out to charge it. I have loosend all screws yet it still won´t slip. Any suggestions?
