Seth, when my wife & I visited Bandon in October last year, my first impression of Bandon is that it reminded me (although on a much smaller scale) of Pebble Beach, Cypress Point, etc. It had that feel!

0:49, yea, I would say like you Seth: Bandon is a nice quaint town, a nice place to settle down. I told my wife the coast is more attractive and scenic than the coast line near Charleston where we live.

Charleston is a nice spot on the coast too. You’re close to Shore Acres, the Marine Life Center and just a short ride into town for basic necessities.

I have thought of Bandon and the surrounding area including Coos Bay as being more akin to the central Oregon Coast, not southern Oregon. I am thinking that Port Orford on down is definitely southern Oregon, but I don't make up the geographic boundaries... just live here. Please tell your viewers about the great places inland. My preference is the town of Myrtle Point. I am not in real estate but my personal observations are that there are bargains when you move inland and yet you are, say, within a half hour's drive to the beach.

The name of their youtube channel is "Living On The Oregon Coast", not "Living a half hour away from the Oregon Coast". Just sayin'.

I know people as far north as coos bay that consider that the southern oregon coast. But yes, it is subjective, there are no definitive lines. Some might not make a distinction for central, just north and south. It's true that real estate prices tend to be lower inland from the coast in places such as Myrtle Point.

I agree with you that the demographics are subjective regarding the northern and southern coastal areas and the places in between. You look at some communities that are struggling like Coquille and Myrtle Point (yep, some people will disagree with me) but there are some great places to live inland like those towns and still have easy access to the ocean. @@LivingOnTheOregonCoast

Looks nice. I'm looking for somewhere in Oregon to eventually settle down and my main concern is avoiding noisy neighbors completely. My spouse and I would be in heaven if we never had to hear a neighbor's loud music or thumping bass ever again. Looks like that just isn't a concern here.

Is there a lot of home construction/growth happening in Bandon? I'm hoping to find an area where that just isn't a thing and a town keeps it's small town/close-knit community feel.

"A lot" being relative, unless you're coming from a tiny town, nothing on the Oregon Coast will feel like a lot of growth. You'll see a few new builds here and there. No massive new sub divisions. Florence probably has the most new builds right now and that town is going to feel close knit to most.
