A big thing that helped me and that I recommend is playing harder songs, what I mean is that if u are stuck on hard mode and can’t beat a song play the same song on expert. Don’t try to beat it, just get used to the speed of the song on expert. Then when you go back to hard mode it will seem like the song is slower. This worked for me and it may or may not work for you.
@colin3ds13 жыл бұрын
Do you think it would work better if you attempted the harder difficulty in "no fail" mode then went back to the original difficulty with no fail turned off

I'm very new to the game, and something that has helped me is trying different ways of holding my controllers. On faster songs, I actually end up either holding only the base of them or pressing down all of the triggers to have more control over moving them. It's nice that there's no button inputs ingame while doing a song so you can really just hold it however you feel most comfortable.

One advice about the colors that is missing is: Chose colors that are distinguishable from each other, like complementary colors. That way you will be less confused at the beginning, because notes for the right saber will not stay on the right side and notes for the left saber will not stay on the left side.

@yourlilbrudder57663 жыл бұрын
I have had beat saber for about 6 months and I can beat most songs on expert (besides camelia) and a lot on expert+ but it turns out the reason I can’t get better is due to my controllers and tracking. I recently sold my HP Reverb G2 (heavy controllers and low-volume but accurate tracking) and switched back to my Rift S, which has lighter controllers with wider but less accurate tracking and even though I noticed the refresh rate drop (80 vs 90hz) but it could get 1/3 past Reality Check because of the lighter controllers. I have an index ordered so hopefully the 120hz and perfect tracking will allow me to do it!

I say if patterns are difficult then slow it down but if the speed is difficult have the speed over normal and practice then lower it and it will seem much easier. Good way to warm up by starting faster

I think looking at star rankings on ranked maps like osu is also a great way to gauge what skill level you are and how to improve. I've gone from not being able to complete 7 stars to being able to do 8 star and above levels by just playing slightly higher ranked songs each time.

I've had the game for three weeks now, and I can pass most vanilla songs on expert plus at about an a rank, one thing I've found helpful is playing a song thats too hard, on about 110 percent, so a very difficult song for me, then after a while of trying my best on no fail, go back to 100% and try it, I dont expect myself to pass the song, but the other songs I was struggling with seem easier afterwards and I progress quicker
