Great editing on this one, man.

Phoenix I’d for sure put MBDTF on the same pedestal as TPAB. Yea rapping wise and poetically TPAB is highly superior but MBDTF artistically is a masterpiece, the sounds, vocals, instruments, production, verses etc. There’s a reason why this won album of the decade

The way it transitions from Afromerica, then back to Power, then to King Crimson, it’s genius. Editing is fantastic. Really highlights Kanye’s ability to sample from great pieces of music and combine them into this beautiful epic. Well done.

What I love about his sampling is how instead of making the sample fit the song, he makes the song fit the sample. As soon as you hear the sample, you can easily recognise what song it is.

An artistic masterpiece of an album that tells a story about the beauty and dangers of fame and love presented in amazing ways with extremely realistic musical elements with pianos and orchestral sounds, and amazing usage of sampling small elements of some know/unknown 1960’s, 1970’s & early 1980’s old school songs to make something completely original. Also extraordinary mature subject matter used very well lyrically throughout the album. Whether you like Kanye or not this thing is thing is a masterpiece that won’t be forgotten.
