Live long enough and you are bound to experience some kind of shit in your life. Pain, in whatever form, is probably the only universal thing that binds us all together. I only just discovered this man's music recently. He was so damn good at describing the human condition in his lyrics. And pain is written all over his face. Just wish I could hug the man. Thank him for his music.

I love the videos of this session. I've watched them each like ten times since he passed, and they've done a lot for me. I think because it's just him unplugged, solo, playing old songs he's great at playing and with just enough heart and flourish.

You say old songs and that feels shite. So many of songs are brilliant. If get out, death dreams, woodpile and so many more can't put you there then fuck you wi yer "old songs".

@@sithspitdanikan4725 It's the point of old songs. No need to say it, as if the new didn't matter. "I'm supposed to be a fan of" Like shhhhh. How does anything I've said not make me a fan? 2 celebrity deaths have hurt me. Simply 2. As you like repeating yourself. Rick Mayall and Scott. Go look at Floating in the Forth and see who has the top comment. There is no old songs. there is Frightened Rabbit songs. I will express my opinion, and I will explain that opinion. Every single one of us is messed up. I maybe shouldn't of said certain things, but I said what I said. Like "on a dead man's music" seriously bolt. Trying to use some guilt trip in KZbin comments. Have a problem with my comment, but it has nothing to do with his death. Sanctimonious arsehole.

Willing to pay $10 to someone who can post a tutorial vid or the correct tabs including all hammer ons / pull offs... surprised no one has done it correctly yet
@TakenTook3 жыл бұрын
I don’t play the guitar so I’m not sure if this is what you are looking for, but the person in this video has his left hand visible on the neck of the guitar the entire time: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpm0ZaxvereprcU I also don’t know if he’s playing the correct chords. But I’ve seen other videos of Scott Hutchinson playing solo where he seems to do slightly different versions of his songs, possibly a bit simplified from the album versions. For example I’ve seen some live versions of “get out“ that seem to be a bit different, even taking into account the fact that there is only going to be one guitar as opposed to one person playing rhythm and one other person playing lead.
@TakenTook3 жыл бұрын
This is one acoustic version of “get out” that seems simplified from the studio version with the full band, with most of the chords seeming to be in a relatively narrow area on the fretboard: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pprZmaihgtCMl6c While in this live version with the full band, he seems to move his hand to a greater number of positions on the fretboard: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pp-khaSumrpkgrc (Disclaimer: I’m an old horn player who dabbled a tiny bit in piano, and “don’t know from” guitars....)
@craigslist69882 жыл бұрын
Did you figure it out or is that still an offer? Asking because I really should make a tutorial for this at some point.. I have been meaning to, it's just daunting. It is a very complicated song.. Typical of Scott to make something so complex into something easy. Took a long time to figure out how to play it right. As you said, even the best tabs and covers on KZbin are so, so far from correct. No one is even close. Heck, only a few even get the right backbone chords, which is sad because at least those should be very easy to identify (capo 3rd, use G, C, and E shapes).
