Bandwidth control (speed limit) Huawei HG8145V5 any firmware

Hello all. This method is now deprecated as the new version of the abovementioned app no longer supports HG8145V5. It is sad that Huawei decided to discontinue support of this widely-used router. I did find another method of controlling the bandwidth of specific devices connected to this router, albeit slightly more technical, and requires some know-how's. I am working on making it as simple and easy-to-follow as possible. I found this new method while I'm hopelessly looking for solutions on how to revert back my speed limits after Huawei stopped supporting this router, and without hard-resetting it. I will keep you posted!

Is possible to measure Internet traffic in HG8145V5? I want to get bandwidth consumption over my total max bandwidth. I would like to know If I could ask a bandwidth downgrade to my Internet Service Provider.

@@ACQUAILLA As long as the app is named "LinkHome" and not "LinkHome Assistant", that's fine. The logo may be blue for the android app, but for iOS it's orange.
