If you could put your pearls down for just a moment and think objectively about this for just a moment you might realize that this Luigi kid is handling this like an elite valedictorian would, I think he is being wise and mature beyond his years in letting himself get caught and not pulling his gun in an attempt to blast his way out of McDonald’s. He is steering into it. He is now going to be processed by the justice system and may very well be acquitted by a sympathetic jury.. I think this has likely been his plan ever since he lowered his mask at the hostel. He knew he was as good as caught and his next best option to not being caught at all would be to cooperate, plead not guilty/get a jury trial and potentially walk away a free man in a couple of years (potentially) not guaranteed but the option of potentially walking away with an acquittal is even sweeter (for him) then never being caught at all because he won’t be on the run for the rest of his life and he could put the whole thing behind him. So what he is doing (in his current situation) is not as boneheaded as you describe.. (not even close). He is actually handling this like a highly intelligent (all be it a highly privileged) individual. Now of course this may sound like I’m cheering for him… but I’m not. All I’m saying is that the justice system has him now and justice will be served. If he gets life without parole… justice has been served… if he gets acquitted or jury nullification happens. Justice will have been served. Whatever happens, justice will be served. That’s how the system works. It’s up to a jury (if he pleads innocent). Might sound like a long shot but considering the jury could be heavily populated by people who’ve already sided with him. And from the looks of the internet that seems to be the majority of Americans.
