@@soundsheavenly l think we're living in a "post-future" World now, since B&O, Concorde _et al_ was the apex of wo/man's design ideology: nothing so ingenious will ever be seen again; possibly only copies of what once was. I also saw some minor issues of this nature on early pre-production versions of the Harmony, these appear to all have been resolved in the production models as far as I am aware.

I am yet to see it in flesh. Did B&O stylishly redesign Beovox 5000 wall speaker to make Harmony TV? It reminds me reading from one of their 1990's brochure that TV and audio will be two faces of same coin and maybe Harmonyi is the result.
@soundsheavenly4 жыл бұрын
It is very nice when you see it in person, that is interesting about the Beovox 5000 wall panel speakers, I can see the similarity now you mention it - maybe they used these speakers as an inspiration for the TV design?

i liked the youtube. i am not a fan of the Harmony. the only thing i like about it is that at a later date you can swap the screen for a newer one so there is a bit of upgrading/recycling going on. if the speakers/moving parts are out a alignment as was the case with the one i saw it would annoy the living daylights out of me. as a product i feel it isnt as much as a power move when compared to the BeoVision 1 when that came out. yes it does look special and one of a kind, to me the wow factor just isnt there.
@soundsheavenly5 жыл бұрын
Eric Gorter I also like the fact that the screen can be upgraded (eg. When 8k is launched). The Harmony TVs on display at the moment are pre production prototypes, so there may be minor alignment issues, knowing B&O these will be resolved before production.

I disagree the latest Sony Bravia had one of the most breathtaking displays I ever seen in my life it just looks better than real life and also the sound quality is wild the sound actually comes from the display itself
@soundsheavenly3 жыл бұрын
Yes, there are some great TVs being made now, please bear in mind that my review was filmed nearly two years ago! The quality of TVs has changed enormously since then, B&O's Harmony is one of the main reasons that other companies have raised their game. Harmony can also be upgraded to accept newer and better displays as the technology improves so it stays at the front of the game.

If it takes that long to open, people are just going to leave it in the open position, which defeats all the engineering that went into closing it.

Thanks for your feedback - I would encourage you to try some B&O products for yourself - my 1990 B&O music system at home has been in use every day since I bought it 20 years ago and it has never failed ;-) B&O have a history of working with the best companies in the industry to provide the parts that they can't make in house, LG currently make the World's best TV panels so it makes sense for them to use LG screens and add their own audio to them.
