When this animation came out, 2 years ago, i didnt have any idea who grian was, hermitcraft, nothing, and i watched this animation and i was like "woah!!" This is legit fire: Best parts of it (in my opinion) 0:00 I love how the intro shows the different alliances and players. Goes so well to the beat as well! 0:17 Bdubs killing Grian and Grian looking up after WAS SO SMOOTH. Went perfectly with the beat! 0:27 Mumbo and Scar both have amazing designs. The fact that Scar uses magic instead of lava in the animation just 10/10 0:35 BEST WAS SO GOOD WENT PERFECTLY WITH THE SONG AND THE ANIMATION OF THE LIKE PUTTING SHIELDS UP 0:41 Ren's design is so cool I love it 1:01 GRIAN LOOKS SO SMUG I LOVE IT. The animation really captures how Grian was like when he was a red name! 1:15 Cleo... LOOKED SO BADASS IN THIS PART!!! 1:26 Even though it doesn't really show Scar falling, just the way it was animated makes it feel like he did. Scar's death stare at the end was so good as well !!! 1:31 The fact that (again) Scar uses magic to match with his character... Just those small tricks that make the animation better. Also, Tango (I think it was him) giving the life to Scar... The animation was so good there! 1:42 LITERAL CHILLS GRIAN AND IMPULSE LOOK SO GOOD HERE!!! The fact that they look so badass then the wither comes just AMAZING. 1:53 I thought Bdubs killing Lizzy looked so cool. Then Grian shooting Bdubs...... YES! 2:07 It adds so much how it goes with the beat and then the small animations each one has. Well done! 2:16 GG to Scott!!!! The final animation was so cool. So much suspense leading up to it. Overall it was AMAZING! The little details you put in it just brought it up to a whole new level. Great job!!!

I've watched a lot of minecraft animations, Hermitcraft animations, 3rd Life animations, Last Life animations, even some Manhunt animations, but I think this might just be the best minecraft animation I've ever seen! The dedication to make something of this length, the shear quality of every single image, the fact that it was easy to tell who was who in the animation, the coverage of, to my recollection, every major event over the course of the series, and the flawless syncing of transitions with the music! This entire video is just *muah* , chef's kiss! Absolute perfection! You should be super proud of this!

I was just able to get around to watch this and WOW! Absolutely incredible work Rusty. The camera movements and transitions between each of the scenes were so dynamic and fluid, and you were able to hit the key points of the entirety of LL without it feeling too adrupt or overwhelming. Fantastic from start to finish! Loved seeing you work on it during streams as well.

gosh i wish i saw this earlier! all the details are immaculate, i love the tweening and how added the red glint in the boogeyman’s eyes! lovely! and the timing and composition is so well done, this is professional level!! edit: also i noted that out of the final four, scott is the only one that doesn’t move, he only blinks. nice detail!

Like soooo many others, I keep coming back to rewatch! I don't know if anyone else has noticed/mentioned it, but I love that every time that specific "here we go" in the other voice is played it's a scene with Scar. Kind of a subtle nod to him being an integral part in so many of the stories that unfolded, perhaps?

I keep watching this over and over. It’s so good! I love the part where Grian turns on Mumbo, the murderous intent on Grian’s face and the horror on Mumbo’s. I also loved the part where Scar fell into the Southlands trap, like a doofus. The subtle way his hood floats up, the look of shock on the Southlanders’ faces, the way it doesn’t actually say he fell into a trap but you can just TELL. Amazing!!

This is one of the best last life animations I’ve ever seen, I love the part where you show them right after they get killed with an angry look on their face, and my favorite part of all of this is the fact you have their eyes glow the color of their nametags/lives they have in game, I only watched from Grian’s perspective and that really helped me keep track of the other people’s story! That scene with scar where he was the boogeyman and killed mumbo with the half red in his eyes disappearing was a GREAT touch! Overall I love this! You did F A N T A S T I C

I know that last life is a very dum series full of a bunch of shenanigans and tomfoolery, but honestly just imagine how cool of a show concept it would be. A group of people put in a community with them slowly descending into chaos due to them losing their lives/humanity, and getting cursed to hurt their friends along the way. Man, Last Life was so good. Battle Royals type stuff with the experience of Hermitcraft pros and others was genius and it made for some great organic storytelling. I can’t wait to see more of they sort of thing in the future, especially since stuff like Dream SMP has really faded out and lost the plot over the last year.
