IT'S FINALLY DONE!
Last Life is an SMP series where all members spawn with a set amount of lives between 2-6. If someone gets down to one life left, they turn red, and they become hostile to other players. There is also a boogeyman chosen every session that has to make a kill on a green or yellow person or else they will start the next session on their red life.
I tried my best to make sure everyone had their moment to shine, but understand that I couldn't include every moment. I included my personal favorite parts of the series and the ones that felt the most iconic.
Also, a disclaimer, there are most definitely mistakes in this video. Life amounts being wrong, characters in the wrong scenes, character designs being wrong, etc. I did the best I could for the size of the project this was. Also, for most of the cast, this was my first time drawing them, and I'm not as familiar with some of the people included. So apologies if any of the designs feel wrong.
That being said, please understand that I am not open to unsolicited criticism or correction.

Trying to comment on things sometimes instead of only watching them over and over, so here’s a list of all my favorite bits: - the opening notes, with each little group (especially BEST being in order) - Grian’s grumpy little face getting put back to yellow after Bdubz killed him - BEST being wholesome tbh - the fact you draw Lizzie with fairy wings bc of the Fairy Fort - Cleo’s little laugh and smile I adore it - Cleo and Etho getting bubbled up out of the ground for their attack - slowing the animation down to focus on the four remaining players before the final showdown

When this animation came out, 2 years ago, i didnt have any idea who grian was, hermitcraft, nothing, and i watched this animation and i was like "woah!!" And i wanted to see whatever it was, when i found out that it was Minecraft i was so happy because i was in the dsmp back then and i loved minecraft, now, after watching all of the series and every grian video, hermitcraft is my hyperfixation and so is grian, so thank you, youre the reason im into hermitcraft and the life series.

This is legit fire: Best parts of it (in my opinion) 0:00 I love how the intro shows the different alliances and players. Goes so well to the beat as well! 0:17 Bdubs killing Grian and Grian looking up after WAS SO SMOOTH. Went perfectly with the beat! 0:27 Mumbo and Scar both have amazing designs. The fact that Scar uses magic instead of lava in the animation just 10/10 0:35 BEST WAS SO GOOD WENT PERFECTLY WITH THE SONG AND THE ANIMATION OF THE LIKE PUTTING SHIELDS UP 0:41 Ren's design is so cool I love it 1:01 GRIAN LOOKS SO SMUG I LOVE IT. LOOKED SO BADASS IN THIS PART!!! 1:26 Even though it doesn't really show Scar falling, just the way it was animated makes it feel like he did. Scar's death stare at the end was so good as well !!! 1:31 The fact that (again) Scar uses magic to match with his character... Just those small tricks that make the animation better. Also, Tango (I think it was him) giving the life to Scar... The animation was so good there! 1:42 LITERAL CHILLS GRIAN AND IMPULSE LOOK SO GOOD HERE!!! The fact that they look so badass then the wither comes just AMAZING. 1:53 I thought Bdubs killing Lizzy looked so cool. Then Grian shooting Bdubs...... YES! 2:07 It adds so much how it goes with the beat and then the small animations each one has. Well done! 2:16 GG to Scott!!!! The final animation was so cool. So much suspense leading up to it. i come back to this regularly, and i always wish i could like it more than once! It never fails to get my feelings all activated, i genuinely react to the story (even though i've seen it many times before), and it makes me wanna go back and watch last life again. The way you interpret the scenes and happenings of a blocky, stiff-ish, game into this flowing, beautiful, and animated cinematic experience is beyond me - but it is amazing!! i cant wait to see what you do for double life!:)

Then she got peer pressured into taking the enchanting table for a low price, so the handlers could get it off their hands. Her best friend turned on her for big b's mistake and burnt her home, she got rejected soon after by her only friends and alliance, and after that they all became a alliance without her again! o7 lizzie, the fairy lady

The animation is timed so perfectly with the music (and some of the scenes go so well with the lyrics, like ZombieCleo lighting things on fire - 'I'm up to something / I hope you like the show'). I've watched a lot of minecraft animations, Hermitcraft animations, 3rd Life animations, Last Life animations, even some Manhunt animations, but I think this might just be the best minecraft animation I've ever seen! The dedication to make something of this length, the shear quality of every single image, the fact that it was easy to tell who was who in the animation, the coverage of, to my recollection, every major event over the course of the series, and the flawless syncing of transitions with the music! This entire video is just *muah* , chef's kiss! Absolute perfection! You should be super proud of this!

When put in the form of an animatic, for some reason the concept of Last Life seems a lot scarier. Maybe it's the amount of death portrayed in the video, but either way, I love the animation and the thrill it gives!

This animation is so awesome, it’s not only the video that introduced me to this song and made me like it so much, it’s also what made me start watching last life as a whole. After watching the series, I would go to certain people’s perspectives to watch the scenes from this video. I was just able to get around to watch this and WOW! Absolutely incredible work Rusty. The camera movements and transitions between each of the scenes were so dynamic and fluid, and you were able to hit the key points of the entirety of LL without it feeling too adrupt or overwhelming. Fantastic from start to finish! Loved seeing you work on it during streams as well.

I keep watching this over and over. It’s so good! I love the part where Grian turns on Mumbo, the murderous intent on Grian’s face and the horror on Mumbo’s. I also loved the part where Scar fell into the Southlands trap, like a doofus. The subtle way his hood floats up, the look of shock on the Southlanders’ faces, the way it doesn’t actually say he fell into a trap but you can just TELL. Amazing!!

This just convinced me that the general premise of the Life series could be used to make an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME TV show: Imagine a serious series where a bunch of people are trapped in a fantasy world where they resurrect after dying, hunted by a mysterious, invisible entity that possesses them and forces them to kill each other over and over again, with each death corrupting them further and further, until finally they're too corrupted for the world's restorative properties to work on them. If that doesn't sound like a great premise for an action/horror series, I don't know what does.
