Optimum Pivot Point, a revolutionary suspension system, kept internal vibrations from interfering with sound reproduction in the Beogram 3000, a particularly built tangential record deck with a lightweight tone arm.
For the best sound quality and least amount of record wear, Beogram 3000 had an MMC 4 pickup. Size and the appropriate speed are automatically recorded by a record sensor. The Beogram 3000 is 'danceproof' because to its pendulum suspension and platter, which decrease static electricity and dust in the grooves. The new Active Light system provided automated light when needed for searching, editing, and other tasks. The search system operated in both directions. You could play the same record up to seven times in a row using the repeat function.

In the disassembly process i found a hidden MMC 4 Pick-up inside the Beogram 3000. Can anyone believe that?

I have restored a couple of these. They sound fantastic when working 100%. Getting it there though is really, really tough sometimes. Guess the parts are more valuable than a full unit that is working??

Thank you for your comment. Yes, the Beogram 3000 is a very nice turntable from Bang & Olufsen and the sound is very nice with a re-tipped MMC

Have you thought about assembly process? I sent mine to a service guy in Odense, he fixed it. By the way : I can see your nice beard in the mirror- dustcover 🐻

I have this exact model, it’s lovely. However my power supply looks like it is designed to go into an adapter. How easy is it to put a normal UK plug in it would you say?

I am having trouble reinstalling the wire drive for the pickup assembly. It seems like the wire is a bit short. I am routing it as per the service manual. Does anybody have some experience in reinstalling this wire?
