Bengaluru GDP includes the GDP of the surrounding areas such as hosakote and other suburbs but the GDP of chennai doesn't include its suburbs such as Sriperumbudur, siruseri,oragadam but if u include the GDP of suburbs of chennai it will cross 200 Billion which will make it 2nd richest after Mumbai in India.

Bengaluru ranked 2nd in most traffic cities because the infrastructure in Bangalore is very poor. But in chennai infrastructure is in top notch and off course chennai is called as the city of flyovers. In Bengaluru there are four lane roads where we need 6 lanes but in case of chennai there are 8 lane roads where we need 6 lane and also most important chennai has more registered vehicles than Bangalore and still there is not much traffic in Chennai and this is because of its infrastructure.

In case of population also Bengaluru includes it's suburbs but chennai doesn't include its suburbs because Tambaram and avadi became separate cities and if u combine them population of chennai will cross 1 crore and it makes it 3rd most populous after Mumbai and Delhi.

In size also ur comparing the metropolitan area of those cities and incase of Bengaluru it is 8 thousand sq kms and in case of chennai after expansion it is currently 5.5 thousand sq kms but size doesn't matter but the urbanization is important. In case of Bengaluru it is 60% urban and 40% rural but in case of chennai it is 75% urban and 25% rural. In which chennai leads here too.
