But why the Bangalore roads are narrow . Because I am shifting to Bangalore by the end of November . Is Bangalore is good place to live ? Please reply
@Pkoppa6 жыл бұрын
Not all roads are narrow. Most roads are wide but were not planned for the burgeoning traffic that the city is witnessing. Bengaluru is one of the best places to live in India, anyone can vouch for that. The only problem is the traffic and the roads (in a few places). Otherwise you'll enjoy every minute here!
@jaithak72677 жыл бұрын
Good on India for modernizing and moving forward, however they could have learned from other international cities. In New York, we have both local and express tracks. This system is new for now, but when the load factor increases and when commuters have to travel end to end this would be oh sucks moment by the metro. Again, good for the citizens of the community and here's hoping it is not a spit and pee filled with disrespect. Here in the US the Indians have earned respect like no other immigrants and any progress is lauded as brain child from India. Enjoy your spoils!
@Pkoppa7 жыл бұрын
Jai Thak Thanks. The metros here except for Kolkata are JVs between the state and the central government and are built by private contractors . The stations and coaches are spotlessly clean and there is vigil everywhere to ensure it remains so, as it has been since 2011. The main railways tracks are of broad Guage while the metro are standard Gauge hence they are separate. However there are interchanges at a couple of places where people can hop off and reach either the long distance trains or the metro and vice versa.

Pawan Koppa Had travelled on 28th of June from Byappanahalli - nagasandra .ticket was 58/- .I would just tell you the experience was so fabulous from Kempegowda - nagasandra ,I would just simply say wow.what a run it was on green line from kempegowda - nagasandra.it goes on MPS compared to purple line metro .
@Pkoppa7 жыл бұрын
fayaz dm Great, that's very nice to hear. So glad to see people making full use of the metro. It's undoubtedly great though the number of coaches has to increase very soon in each rake. The green line is great between majestic and nagasandra - but the real speed is between mantri mall and national college - the green line's speed is really good.
@fayazdm88577 жыл бұрын
Pawan Koppa Yup but the no.of halts are more .and takes at least halfan hour from kempegowda - Nagasandra.where as Purple line's speed starts from Ulsoor - Trinity - MG road on elevated section.and then Underground from Cubbon park - City Railway station it's runs on MPS.
@Pkoppa7 жыл бұрын
fayaz dm Correct, that is true. General perception right now is that green is faster, though it could just be a perception

@Pkoppa7 жыл бұрын
fayaz dm Yes the speed is indeed pretty fast - I would think it tops at 80 kmph. Since I was taking the video, I could not focus on checking the speed of the rake. Others too have mentioned its pretty fast - next time will check with a GPS
@fayazdm88577 жыл бұрын
Pawan Koppa what do you think .was it equal to Mumbai EMU local speed running?

majority of indians are still poor , but we are developing at our own slow pace , "democratic pace" lol , no match to china's rate of growth though , mostly because indian governments have to shell a lot of money for land acquisition ,which sometimes cost as much as the infrastructure project itself , notwithstanding the cost escalation due to it , time cost . india is fucked because of western democratic style of government
