A fun video in Bangkok. No electrical type stuff in Siam Square though. You have to go elsewhere for that. Benjakitti Park is really nice now. Used to go there when it was just the Tobacco Monopoly. The Green mile is really nice and I used it a lot after it was built back around 1998 to go to Lumphini Park. Glad you had fun down at Patpong.

Angie's Taxi is a great service. I have used it personally and also use it to pick up friends arriving and departing out of Bangkok. Great Lady, great service. All her drivers are very professional.

I notice you mentioned stay hydrated! AMEN. I found the local pharmacies, 7-Elevens and other shops all carry electrolyte powder for about 30 bhat. Saved my life a few times I must say. If you are prone to dehydration and heat cramps, those electrolyte powders put into every third bottle of water really makes a big difference!

I was just 2 days ago in Bangkok and at the Lumphini park aswell in the evening. There was a huge event and it felt like millions of locals wandering around with tons of food/drink stands. It was an amazing experience to see it light up with the Christmas lights hanging from the trees

I stayed near Lumphini Park in April-May for a few weeks (a condo in the soi just behind the Anantara Siam / Ratchadamri BTS, overlooking the Royal Bangkok Sports Club). Lovely spot just far enough away from Erawan Shrine to avoid the heavy tourist traffic, but plenty of time in Sukhumvit Road for shops and wandering around (albeit the very hot part of the year -- 3 straight weeks every afternoon the weather "feels like 48 to 50" -- yet was watching golfers out on the course every afternoon!). But I still loved it. Lumphini Park was super. Plenty to do too down Silom Road. 10 lady drinks in 30 mins? Yikes!

Top floor Siam central is a great food court opposite the cinema, always pop in when I’m in Bangkok for an Indian meal from Mrs Balbirs stall. Highly recommend the chicken biryani and their veg samosas 😋

I know you like prawns, Trev. Next trip to Bangkok, check out Ministry of Crab. They serve 'Prawnzilla', a 500g prawn from Sri Lanka. Yes! A half kilo prawn! Many sizes of crab too, some are 2kg!

I was last in Bangkok 2010 and found the mamasans rude,pushy and low key aggressive 😤. Fortunately the girl who started talking with me was an absolute sweetheart and I was happy to buy her a few drinks. The conversation was fun and I took her for a meal then returned her to the bar. I don’t pay for aerobics but I love the company of a chilled out funny person. Keep making videos Trev as a lot of people love watching your adventures 😂❤

Thanks for the tour of the park. I've stayed near there several times, just didn't get to check the place out. Going next summer, hope to check it out. Have had lots of luck staying at Aspira residence Soi Ramrudi. Surrounded by good restruants, and very reasonable and comfortable. Took my wife up to the Labua Sky Bar once, just to check it out (knowing it was going to be pricy), but wasn't prepared for how pricy! Approx $180 USD for two glasses of champaign! but for a once in a lifetime experience, the view was worth it! Wife wanted to call the police over the bill though! What strikes me about Bangkok is how much cleaner, safer, more convenient and so on than any US City I have ever lived in or visited. NYC, LA, Detroit, Atlanta, Cleveland, and Even Toronto, Canada are shitholes in comparison. I joked with my wife at Terminal 21 on the "San Francisco" level, that the way to make it more accurate would be if homeless people were to use the deck of the place as a toilet, while shooting smack! So sad. But my experience with Bangkok has been largely positive. Great city, great values most places.

I was also quite impressed with Patpong area. It was actually more crowded with customers than Soi Cowboy. Kings Club has like 3-5 different agogos and they seem to always be crowded. It is true that mamasans are a bit pushy, but honestly it is better than Soi Cowboy which is the worst IMO. I have no desire to go back to Soi Cowboy given my experiences there, Patpong and Nana are more than able to have fun in.

@@nigelingram8514 AND THE NAVY! First went to Thailand in 90, Phuket on the way to the Persian Gulf. Had a great time, fell in love with the place. Only regret was waiting nearly 30 years to go back! 18 Year old me, dreamed of doing my 20 in the Navy and retiring there. Didn't do my 20 but may still retire there. Wife has some property up in Yosothon and near Udon Thani. Thailand is such a great place regardless of the bar scene. In fact, I have enjoyed the country as much, if not more away from the nightlife areas. Great people, very nice and accommodating and in general never had a bad time in Thailand, except when another foreigner gave me shit over a comment I made to a friend in conversation he overheard. Drunk English Football hooligan across the room got butt hurt when I mentioned Donald Trump. Oh well. Either way, out of several trips that was about the only bad experience.

Hi Trevor really nice hotel and big room nice video again and the park reminds me of Central Park except for skywalk they don't have but the rest similar witlh lake and path for walking,jogging,bicycling etc... and they have a road passing through Central Park very nice quiet and secure they have a lot of policeman's in foot and horses i've been there many ,many ,times so it's very nice park thinking you are in Bangkok and he doesn't look like it . And the bar there it's a no,no,no,for me a Mamasan pushing me for drinks sorry it's not gonna work with that's why i will not go a place like that because the last things you want to do it's push me my daughter call me "Hulk" when i'm pissed off she even when she was young and went to New York with her Private College she bought me a figurine of Hulk still have it it in my living room so since i don't like trouble so i avoid these places like that and the food looks very delicious but that is good for 2 persons easily.
