Hi chemise! We were in Thailand for a few weeks hehe. In Bangkok about 5 days total. We stayed in Buddy Boutique Inn (booked through Agoda). Our average spending is about 3,000 baht per day for the 2 of us (not including grab and accommodation expenses). Some days we would go over, some really under depending on what we were doing hehehe. But Bangkok is so much fun! If I may suggest, try having dinner in Rongros Bangkok. Some days were so rainy we weren’t able to explore much, but Rongros had a great view of the Wat Arun Temple and the food was great as they have some Michelin rated dishes as well (price was good too!). Safe travels Chemise! Hope you enjoy Bangkok as much as we did 🥰

funny enough old Khao San Road has the worst food and are mostly a expensive tourist scam... Go to a normal street and buy streetfood and its better and cheaper.. If a streetseller is dirty and bad in a normal thai street they are gone in one day or less..in Khao San Road they serve tourists that never come back or complain. Just take the bts och mrt train to a normal random station and explore the REAL bangkok away from "tourist streets" cheap shopping good food and genuine people

Agreed! But as a first timer in Thailand, Khao San Road was a perfect introduction, not too overwhelming especially since Bangkok is such a huge city. After spending a few weeks in Thailand, we found that better food was always in the more local areas. But we do really appreciate Khao San as a welcome into the country :) given that it was our first night in Thailand ever, it helped us ease into the country and gave us an idea of what prices are and what they could be, and other things we could possibly expect. For us Khao San Road was really a great starting point in our Thailand adventure. Can’t wait to get to know the country even more :)

@@EdsandJoyce just taking the subway or skytrain to a totally random station in bangkok and get "lost" is the most fun way to explore. Best food i eat almost daily working in bangkok is often "workers canteen" food..alittle bigger makeshift streetstalls often near construction sites that serves 10-12 different dishes spanning from 40-80 baht, many office workers prefer them for lunch too google translate google maps and google lens works perfectly in most cases
