Thank you for a lot of great videos. I would highly recommend you to learn to read Thai - it is not so difficult (ok, a little, but it's totally worth the effort). I am a Norwegian, but I studied a bit of Sanskrit and Hindi before I started to learn Thai - and I had many eye-opening experiences when I started to read Thai - when I saw how the words were written, their Sanskrit origins became much more visible. Like the word for food - Ahan - is written Ahara, which means food in Sanskrit. Teacher - kru - is of course Guru - Ratchatewi is Raja Devi, Nakon Si Thammarat is Nagara Shri Dharmaraja etc.... and you will also learn the pronounciation rules, for example that words ending in l or r usually is pronounced as if ending in n - so: Mahidon, Pumipon (Bhumibol) etc..

Nice vlog, good memories of walking around Lumphini Park. At 1:46 I think that is Saladaeng Road, not Silom Soi 1. Looks like the Fried Shrimp/Crab/Squid lady is there but not the Fried Chicken guy. I hope they are all doing OK, as well as you also.

Lumpini Park is the first public park in Bangkok and the royal heritage of His Majesty the King. Bestowed upon the people of the city With the beginning of 1925, the throne of 15 years, coupled with the economic downturn after World War I, therefore, His Majesty the King decided to organize exhibitions of museums, shopping malls and natural resources such as Western countries. Which is set in Winter at the end of the year 2468 and has the idea that When the event is over, the venue should be built as a botanical garden. In order for people to study and relax, he chose the area of Thung Saladaeng, the rest of the royal land from Chulalongkorn University, to be the venue. And relinquished royal property as capital - in the preparation of the place At that time, a wide pond was dug and built floating islands in the middle of the water cutting the road. And built Thawavatthu, such as a Greek-style clock tower, and bestowed upon the name "Lumpini Park" referring to the birthplace of the Lord Buddha in Lumpini Wan Subdistrict, Nepal, but with his death before the opening Therefore had to give up work Later in the reign of King Rama VII, this project was restored again by renting 90 rai of land south of Lumpini Park to be classified as "Wana Roeng Rom". Similar to an amusement park and rent to improve the rest of the land It is a public park since then, Lumpini Park is a place for fun and fun. Sanan to the people, including playing kite races, horse racing, and carousel swings, the land was given to the government to take care of and ordered to be used only for the park. Therefore reduced its role Until the war was over in the year 1952-1954 Therefore was used as a venue for constitutional celebrations And there is a Miss Siam contest Floating island area The statue of King Rama VI was built in 1942 to commemorate the grace of the creator of Lumpini Park.

Interesting video! I am getting quite addicted to your videos and your commentaries in them but cannot keep up with your cranking out so many videos at bullet speed. Good to see the outside of Lumpini Park and the surrounding city buildings and streets. Most youtube videos only show the inside of the park and neglect the outside, which is no less picturesque and beautiful in a different way. BTW, the guards at the entrance of the park made the locals sign their name but they didn't make you sign? Slightly off the topic here, have you ventured to the Chitralada Villa Royal Residence area in the Dusit District of Bangkok? It was a pleasant experience to take a long walk along the moat around the Villa in the summer and observe the trees, flowers and the surroundings.
