Fantastic video Geoff so glad you enjoyed it. We go to Khaosan every time we are in Bangkok, been going since the 80s’. Round the corner Rambuttri is fabulous super relaxed and quieter, it’s good to stay at the Trinidee on the next rd, it’s completely silent inside. Can’t wait to be on Rambuttri in 3 weeks, keep smiling 🎉🎉

Great film, Geoff. I stayed in the Royal when exploring the King's palace and the wats. I love Khao San Road even though. Soi Rambuttri is a tad quieter. There is a great Thai spa there and a bookshop, but no more I think. For exploring Nana I stayed on Soi 22. Thanks again for the memories.

I had the misfortune to stay in a hotel in khao san rd for 4 nights in December last year. I only say mis fortune because it was full on NOISE, techno drum n bass til about. 2.30am. I never slept a wink. Its ok for a couple of hours but more than that... no way

We did a day trip to Bangkok whilst on a far east cruise in March 2024, had a great time. Visited the Great Palace before heading towardsthe city centre, getting the overhead raailway from the National Stadium to Nana where we went to the Stumble Inn for a couple of Changs. We wanted to try a tuk tuk so one of the girls in the bar arranged for one to take us back to where the coach was picking us up for a fare of 300 Baht. What a white knuckle ride that was and I know have an idea of what it would be like to smake a full pack of Woodbines in one go, as we seemed to be sat level with the exhausts of trucks and buses.

Captured Khao San at its finest. Crocodile, insects, dancing and the great atmosphere. We loved it, one of highlights of Bangkok. We were told it was the bangpackers meeting point and you got that vive. Great video and wild TukTuk. BEEP BEEP

Thewet area just up the road from the busy end is worth exploring. Best Khao soi shop in all of Bangkok opposite the 7/11. Dare you to find it. It sells out before midday

Chao Phraya river isn't far from KhaoSan and the views are awesome. Bars along the river. You can take a cruise at night time. Well worth going.
