Bangkok Pratunam Pier Area

I headed over to the Pratunam Pier near Central World. I rode the water taxi up to Nana. The water-taxi in Bangkok is an affordable way to navigate the city. The next pier up is the Nana Chard pier which will put you on Soi 15. For either pier, you can walk along the south side of the canal to get to Soi 11.

The Soi 15 is the one I thought was on Soi 11. It had been a decade since I rode the water-taxi

Nana Nuea (where you leave at the end) is the Khlong boat station always take because its a 4 min walk to my condo

I knew that station, but I always mix up the next pier at Soi 15. I always think it's at Soi 11. Oh well, I'm a BTS guy

Im new to the river taxis too, can be hard to navigate the system, especially knowing where to get off as some pier's do not clearly show the name and can easily be missed ,which ive done a few times

Ya, I rarely use the water-taxi, but it's a good system if you live nearby

@@EagerExpat yes agree, yesterday rode it from bang kapi mall to asoke pier, cost was 20 baht and quicker than the bts

You got off at the right exit at soi 3. There is no pier at soi 11...only a pedestrian bridge that crosses the klong.

Ya, I was thinking about the bridge. I'm not a water taxi guy. But, it's a good system

You probably did it, like @GeoffTH said, get off at Soi 3 and walk east along the canal (south side) and you come to the Soi 11 foot bridge. Make a right and you are at the top of Soi 11. Make a left and walk across the footbridge and you will be on a path to New Petchaburi Rd. There is a gate to walk through to get to New Petchaburi and they lock this gate sometime in the evening. So be aware that this foot bridge is not useful after a drunken night out on Soi 11 if you are trying to get back to Petchaburi Rd. I have made this mistake a couple of times😅
