I was there that fateful day... The video doesn't do the crowd justice! I met Paul backstage afterward and he told me he was waiting for George to start playing a song but he never started playing. Paul did do a few songs with the janitor but for legal reasons the songs cannot be presented on you tube so they were edited out.

LOL - too funny man! Kind of reminds me when George Carlin walked on stage during a presidential performance.., said nothing, just stood there. The crowd went wild with laughter anticipating his wicked sense of humor. After a few minutes - he politely just said "Thank you" and walked away. The crowd laughed even more. And Im like "Huh?" - LoL

I think no one knows more than Steve that McCartney didnt start using his Hofner again until 1989. But whats the use of splitting hairs. I suppose you could also say, hang on, The Stage Lights wern't that advanced on those days....Crinkle Crisps wernt around in 1971..Thats a Microwave Cup George is using...etc etc, its ALL good fun and just to try and raise a smile in this VERY serious and dangerous World we NOW live in. Have a nice day :-) x

I love The Beatles and George was my favourite. But Paul, not so sure. I wrote to him to help stop the killing of dogs in Vietnam and Thailand, but he never replied. If I had his money I would buy every dog over there and save them all. Joanna Lumley replied though, so I love her. But Macca? Do something, I wasn't after an autograph to sell on Ebay, just his support. I bet he has a bacon sarnie on the quiet;))

there are some interesting fact that bring out a side of paul from the early days that differs alot from what the pop icon he showed in the mid 60's as for example, I am an avid fan of the worry free all in it for rock n roll approach the band had while on polydor, but I found out much later that it was infact mcCartney who made the arrangement for their reading of Sweet Georgia Brown, to me it came as rather an unepected i like the worry free interplay between him and Pete When the Saints However it was george who was mainly responsible for Cry for A shadow that featured on the Mr Twist EP, which is my favourite Beatles compoisition and the first real song I learned on drums as for mcCarney, I like his worry free stuff as such it think some of his composition are dull I do not know sometimes I think he is just too much, for his own good, althoughb the denny Laine Collaborations in Wings London are made in a more of a settled down, laid back enviorment as the bad had already made it work big time and did not have to prove anything. similiar quality goes for McCarneys Soviet Press melodyia label for the care free rock and roll contained with there, but then again I remeber liking the Jeff Lynne produced album of Flaming Pie it is natural to see that if someone like Jeff who as a solid sense for important details can really bring on a favourable, Likable feel that makes the artist very comfortable of recording stuff whatever the case is . In saying this the favourite album for me to come out of the 60's was Electronic Sound by George Harrison 1969
