Hasina regime's crackdown on the protests had resulted in 1000+ deaths and 11000+ unlawful arrests in the span of a month. Students were abducted from their homes by the police in the middle of the night, 16-17 y/o's were put in remand when they should've been sent to Children's court, a kid was tied up with a rope and taken to the police station on false charges, and the list continues. It is not undue that the general public were pissed off at her and wanted her to resign. If you wanna focus on communal attacks - Hasina regime itself killed over 10 Hindus in the first few days of the protest, and yet their lost lives are not being pushed to the forefront of the media to suit your political agenda. Either way, Bangladesh will do well to rebuild itself without a dictator. Since corrupt policemen do not want to return to work, other troops have been assigned to handle traffic in the streets, and even students are helping clean up roads, protect temples, and maintain road traffic. Things look hopeful for the country, at long last, and we will come back stronger.
