I am the son of a freedom fighter and never used any quotas up until my BS and MS in Physics. I am currently doing my PhD in the USA. I have never supported the 56% quota system (where 30% is for freedom fighters), and it is ridiculous that I need to talk about the fact that it is a must to reform; it should be auto-reformed even without any dialogue. Let me tell you first that there are three parts that a job seeker should have to qualify to get a government job in Bangladesh: preliminary (MCQ), written, and oral interview (in-person), and the quota is applicable for the job seekers who passed those preliminary and written parts, so basically, it is very hard to say that they are fully incompetent. I need to go to my lab now. If you guys want to know more about what is actually happening and why everyone is pumped up together, that’s a bit of a complicated story, but currently the main reason is quota reformation. I need to write a lot, but let me know if you really want to know the truth in a constructive manner based on my 100% neutral analysis.
