I’ve learned all my techniques from KZbin and have many saved videos. Yours is one of the very best. Very much appreciate attention to small, annoying issues, that occur with hand making these hand made pieces. I haven’t worked with square wire yet and this design will be my first attempt, as soon as I purchase some square wire. Of course, I will subscribe!

Sorry about that. You can use 3x the bracelet length on your 1st bracelet & then work it down to shorter less wasteful length once you get experience making them. Thanks

Firstly, I love your tutorials! You are very clear and concise in your instructions For this bracelet can you place twisted wires on the outside? Would or does that affect the band?make it less solid? I also just want to say I find your voice calms me, you know, slows me down so sometimes I will just play a video for background while I may be working on a different project. Thank you.

@wireartjewelry90452 жыл бұрын
Just take the cost of materials, value of your labor, add in the amount of profit you want to make. Check those figures against what the market will bear or what someone is willing to pay. Adjust yours up or down from there.

Length of wire depends on the size of the bracelet you are making. You have to determine that.
@CelestialPopCollectiveOfficial Жыл бұрын
7:21 He said 3/4” longer than a loose measurement of your wrist. He added a couple inches, doubled that and bent it a few inches down. The wrap wire he started with an 8” length.

its called a pin vise, you can also use a 4v cordless screwdriver with a 1/4" shank drill chuck adaptor. Hope this helps.

Hey Brother wouldn't be simpler or easier to use a drill or Dremel to turn the wire?, Other wire thank you for sharing with with us all, I know I am thankful.
@wireartjewelry90453 жыл бұрын
You can, but you have less control and risk breaking or bending the wire by twisting too fast.

what are the meausuements of the wire you use

I looked through all the comments and each time someone asks about the gauge of the wires used, there is no comment or reply. Maybe because its an old video and you dont remember? I could guess by looking at the shots close up but I would rather get it right.

I usually use 18g square wire and 22g round, 20g half round for the flat wrappings to hold it together

I wasnt too impressed with the first couple of videos. Your camera is fuzzy and the lighting could be better. Felt on your worksurface would increase visibality. More light, more close ups. But mostly lighting is in need of improvement. My eyes are not young anymore. Then the 3rd one I watched was the bracelet video. That honestly took my breath away. Beautiful, yes, but the tech well, it sold me. I watched all the rest 1 by 1. The 1/2 hard wire is new to me. Ive never used it, but im looking for wire now. Im open to subjestions. Where do you buy? Im an experiencec wrapper and I love doing wire. Ive not sold my wire work. I had a shop on Etsy for 16 years but I sold pearls and pearl handmade jewelry. After 20 plus years of experience Im ready to get better at wire. Your style is simple and presice. After watching all your lessions, ive found a great teacher. The mop ring well, its awesome as well. Very impressive. I have a box full of faceted gemstones. Im looking for prong work rings with the quality of your m.o.pearl dome ring. You say more videos to come. Ill find me some 1/2 hard gold fill wire. Ill be ready. There are some good teachers on utube but to find a teacher with professional jewelry store gold jewelry style with simple instruction. You are in a class by youre self. Simple tips like buffing the side of the files, thats really helpful. Thank you for the good lessions. Im waiting for more. Sharon Kay

Please understand. I make these videos back in the VHS tape days, which was high quality for the time. Of course this was before KZbin was a thing, so yes all of your points are true & needed. However, I'm not a young man anymore & I do not have the time to remake the video series. I uploaded them because they have educational value still today. I really appreciate you for your time & your comments, greatly appreciated. I'm so glad you found the video useful and thank you for the kind words. As for the wire, I haven't sourced it in awhile and I no longer sell it, maybe someone will leave a comment... I will post it if possible.

Sure is faster .... for production line jewelry. Has less precise control in my case. I like my method, no over twisting and I enjoy the process. Thanks for the comment.

If you used a drill it would probably go out of control or go to fast or twis5 wire so much it will break....slow and steady wins the race.
