For those with a round face, I’d highly recommend see-through bangs (also known as Korean bangs)!!! You can kind of see your forehead through them since they’re light and so it makes your face look longer. I have them and they’re great!

I just got short baby choppy bangs last week for the first time in like 20 years and I love it so much! Also ladies, don’t forget you can wash just your bangs in the sink without washing the rest of your hair. Using dry shampoo and brushing them with a clean toothbrush is a lifesaver too! I’m in NJ and it’s damn cold here already and I’m already having to wear beanies all the time so the above mentioned tips will help when they get gross from wearing the beanies. #banggang

My most vivid memory of when I first wanted a fringe (let's get real, it sounds SO MUCH better than bangs) was when I was in fifth grade. I talked about it for weeks before my appointment, I told my friends and my teachers I'd be getting my hair cut. Sat down in the chair with a new hairdresser and she said, "You don't need it. You're not old, you don't have any wrinkles to hide." I was shattered. From then on, persisting even now, I have struggled to ask for what I want when it comes to my hair. I've stuck with the same person for major styling because he knows when I want to say something but am too afraid to say it. So....stylists, if you have a kid sitting in their chair who says they want fringe, please agree to do it. Because in a few years, they'll shear off their own hair anyway and give themselves fringe, and then be very happy with their choppy cut because it's what they wanted all along.

Life AJ haha yes i understand but faces can be hybrids so it is not just about following rules but trying out and understand what kinds of bangs helps to bring out or hide somethings. My concern has always been my big fat nose and i once see a video of a hairstylist saying that bangs will put emphasis on your features below the bangs so girls with big noses like me would not look flattering with it. Also my face shape is somewhere between oblong and oval with a heart-shape hair line. Hopes this is not too rambling to you.

I was crying in the middle part if this video, never been so emotional in a KZbin video. I never had a PROPER HAIRCUT in the last 3 years since I moved here in Austria. I feel you. I live in Vienna and it's almost impossibile to find a good hairdresser. They're extremely expensive and most of them either don't seem motivated to cut your hair the way you want or just mess up. Besides most people here don't seem to really care about haircuts? Anyways for now I only dared to ask for a blunt cut but I'll try to get curtain bangs tomorrow..hopefully I won't regret it😫

This is something I would have loved to read before I got bangs in April, so I thought I’d write it to maybe help one of y’all out in deciding on bangs :)) -they are *less work than expected!* Every single website warned about the time commitment but I just use a round brush to blow dry them for 30 seconds in the morning. (I do have wavy hair; if I air dry them, it looks like a bad attempt at eboy hair... not cute) -invest in *heat protectant spray* especially if you’re using heat to style them every single day! -when I first got bangs I was always worried about them looking messed up but I’ve learned to give them a little shake through w my fingers and they look alright. You also just have to *worry less* because confidence will make them look better - *DON’T be a pushover* with your hairstylist!! I would recommend cutting them below the eyebrow to start, and sticking to it up until the stylist gets all done styling it. Then if you don’t like it, then ask to make it shorter. Mine were a tiny bit too short and it made me almost regret cutting them. The same goes for thickness; I put too much hair into the bangs and it was a little too overpowering for my liking. You can always add more to it later! -Mine need a *trim* every ~1.5 months. My mom is good at it, but she’s scared to mess up the face framing pieces, so I alternate between mom/stylist every other time so that the style overall stays put together. -above all, I feel so much more *CONFIDENT:* my forehead is just over 3 inches tall starting at my glabella. Yes, you can still tell that it’s big because my bangs start at generally the top of my head, but it is just awesome to know that my face can be pretty despite the forehead lol For me, getting bangs was a great decision but it does vary, I hope this helps!!
