You know, it is such an introverted thing to just pretend you don't know a language to avoid talking in interviews. 😅 idk if he's fluent but I think he's talked about how he can understand English relitivley alright. I think jin also knows more English than we think cuz he was abroad in Australia for school for a year or something

It's very apparent that he understands English while it is being said cus there's actually reaction and hardly any loading or waiting-for-translation on his face. He even answers RM's question right on, interrupting the translation. I mean, he catches the humor, the joke, and all that. I think what makes him "not fluent" based on the "standard fluent" is his struggle on articulating himself. But paying attention on how he chooses his words to convey what he means to say, I'd say he's got good grip with the language.

I guess what ppl mean by that is that he probably understands english pretty well, but speaking it causes him a bit of trouble (If so, i'm in that situation, i understand english really well but speaking it its difficult)
