Are you sure the Khorasan hadiths aren't fabricated? From my understanding he comes from Syria and the army that comes to defeat him comes from Khorasan.

I think it's best to look for the other signs if he presents himself not where he comes from as his army and him will be on the same fasaad, but if the signs appear on either from sham or Khorasan we will know unless Allah presents us with a test. Most important thing is to stick to following the Quran and hold it tight as though it is the rope between ourselves and Allah inshallah and form thast relationship so Allah helps us to understand more and more each day inshallah. Hadith about Khorasan is weak according to scholars I have asked, but the hadith from Ibn Majah is authentic, which states it will be an army from the East does not specify details of which area.

@@Baller-iq5lj not trying to argue, here is what a scholar stated: "there is alot of discussion with regards to those ahadith and they have been graded as weak, but there is another narration from ibn majah that has a saheeh chain. Sayyiduna Thawban (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Three will fight one another at your treasure. Each one of them will be the son of a khalifah, then neither of them will attain it. Then black flags will appear from the east and they will kill in an unprecedented manner. The narrator states, ‘He mentioned something else, which I cannot recall and then said, ‘When you see him, pledge allegiance to him even if you have to crawl on snow for he is the khalifah of Allah, the Mahdi.” (Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 4084. Also see Hadith: 4082)
