The back stories that are given by family members, make you realize that this is not a scripted show. Real doctors & nurses doing the best they can to help these real patients heal. From a grandma that was a nurse for many years, my heart goes out to everyone I see on this show. Kudos to all of you!!

My brother got his big toe cut off by the chain on his bike when he was a kid. It never held him back. He was a great athlete all thru school. After graduation he wanted to join the Army, but they wouldn't take him. He even brought all his ribbons and medals and trophies he had earned in high school for baseball, basketball, football, and track to show them, but they wouldn't take him. Then my parents got a hold of our congressman, Lee Hamilton, and with a lot of help from him and his staff, my brother joined the Army.

Aawwwww John, and Mark and every other kid that got abandoned by their fathers, we get it. There are so so many of us. When will men learn how incredibly vital you are to your children. The moms generally step up because that is what we do. Just try and realize that parents have no idea what their getting into when they have a child but if you have a child you will forever be held responsible for that human. If you don't step up and take care of that child it WILL come back on your head tenfold. Someone, somewhere will always love you.

What I find sad and upsetting is the fact that these adults(Parents of the adult patient.) would choose alcohol over their family. I could never understand that mentality or the one that says, “I” have to do this for “Me”. “I” have to take off and do what “I” want to do. It’s such a selfish thing to do. They get married they have children and then a few years down the road they figured they haven’t had a life so they have to go out and live a life without their family. I have no use for people like this whatsoever because as far as I’m concerned, they’re useless. I always feel sorry for the kids that these people leave behind with the other parent who now has to take on both roles of parenting. I’m glad to hear that these patients made a full recovery as best that they could especially the one with the missing toes now.

I went to England to visit family for 20+ years (dad worked for an airline). I either never saw a place with central air, or I was too young to have noticed. When your regular top temperature is +25 centigrade, why bother installing it? Same with Vancouver, B.C., however with houses going for $1.25 MILLION CAN, the average homeowner probably can’t afford it.
