Holy crap, this was an amazing episode. The drama, the music, the intensity, the editing, and it's all real life. It's like an episode of ER, but it's really happening. I absolutely adore Simon. He's a baby face but with nerves of steel and I hope he's proud of what he does and the person he is. I also hope has has support in his life, since he's clearly someone that feels the emotional weight of his job. Also, typical of the UK, 20 years in prison for 4 attempted murders is pathetically weak. I'm surprised they didn't just release him and put him on benefits.

I was 18 years old, a complete stranger stabbed me from the neck down then left me for dead. It was evening, I was with my friend and he saw this man follow me and when he came back in the building he asked if he saw me, he said I left. Thank goodness my friend knew better, he went looking for me and found me behind the building. Helicopter came for me soon after. I was in the hospital icu for 6 months. The man that followed me out had a plan, if not me it would have been somebody else..I’ve always said thankfully it was me because someone else may not have made it. I did die I was told several times, but I’m here today…I’m 61 yrs old. Because of what this man did to me, in 2017 I had to have an ileostomy. I’ve had 13 surgeries since 2017, many prior. Hopefully I have no more…but I’m here 😊 The man who did this was charged, to do 35 years in prison. He did 15 1/2 years.

London is a very dangerous place. My daughter moved there from Australia to have the experience of working overseas as I have, and also her younger brother. So far in the nine months she had been there, she has been attacked twice, each time ending up in hospital. She still had the injury from the first attack, when the second happened. They were random and unprovoked and in a good area. She has also been stalked by a man she met through her first flatmate and she lost her best friends support when her life also took a turn for the worse. It just makes you realise how good we have it here in Australia. Yes, we have stabbings and shootings too, but there is not the constant low level violence that there is in the UK. Here, police have almost unlimited powers of random stop and search and every violent incident is prosecuted. "Acts agains the person" such as bashings, assaults, stabbings and shooting (which are rare) carry severe, long terms of imprisonment. And our jails are bad places.

Thank goodness she’s a nanny for a family, so maybe there’s a difference there, kind of a protection. In the 70s and 80s, we never heard of kids going and living abroad. They just stuck around and got married and had kids. If I had to do it all over again I would travel and go live abroad.I’m a type one diabetic and it’s hard to get any kind of citizenship in another country but I think they would give a Visa to work. In England and Australia, the court systems are into not punishing the most vile crimes properly. "Life" seems to mean a few years. In Canada our prisons are comprehensively medieval, and when most judges give " life", they mean that in 25 yrs or so, someone will come along and lift up the lid of the outhouse toilet to see if the levels of sewage are high enough. The prisoner in the sewage maybe allowed out to shovel in more sewage.
