Talk about the issue of having children or not before you get married. I'm always astonished about how little some couples know about each other before they get married. Even couples who have been dating for two, three or four years often don't know the first thing of any importance about each other when they say "I do". No wonder divorce is so common.

This couple seemed not to know many important things about each other before they got married… This woman obviously was ‘flattered’ for some reason at the fact that the guy wanted to be with her all the time for a couple of years… she also went along with it and dropped her own study/ friends/ independence, by choice… Then she got fed up with it… and found other people to flirt with, until then though, she had condoned his behaviour by her response to it…. In no way do I think his final actions were ok, or understandable (before I get the usual ‘victim blame’ response), he was a lunatic!! But when we look at these sorts of cases afterwards, we always act as though these things just came out of nowhere and just in one person in the relationship…

Maybe she would have been satisfied just staying at home and taking care of children, but he refused. Later he agreed to her getting a job, this tells me he was delusional about how much control he thought he actually had and also that he was more interested in money. He may have been obsessed about how much influence he had over her when she was just a teenager, but as she grew, it became too much frustrating for him. Nevertheless, getting her a job was certainly worse than agreeing to having children, from his perspective, but he never saw it coming.

This excuse is not valid in all states.Did you hear that she was leaving home the next day? Furthermore, he knew that she was having extramarital affairs. This legislation only works when the couple is found consummating the act. USA legislation is outdated. In Western Europe, extramarital affairs are not an excuse for anything. They were married, but that does not mean that one is the owner of the other. He could abandon her the same way she abandoned him.

These two so called experts that condone disgusting, cheating behaviour are the problem in society today. This woman could have worked on her relationship, or left it. The men that she go involved in, must also take responsibility for her death. The husband loved her, and seemed to be willing to take her back after her unfaithful escapades. Whilst I do not condone what he did, he was driven to it... Carli, was the real abuser... not her husband.
