I don't think their priority was humanitarian aid. From her words and things she did it is pretty evident they just wanted to proselytize. It happens in different ways all around the world. They help you but in return they expect you to convert. I have been around them. They just prey on the weak.

What is this thing? NO! When humanitarian help and religion goes hand in hand, you USE humanitarian help as a _minestry tool_ for the sake of your own FKIN personal faith, NOT for the sake of honest hunamitarian aid. I've been working in the Red Cross for five years (as a volunteer), and yes I do feel disgust to many of those christian "help organizations", as they really care more about "saving peoples faith" more than their feeding their stomach or mental health, and they always want something in return for their great effort and kindness. Yes I find it hypocritical.

If your help is genuine you can help people and still let them have their own beliefs. You don't use help as a lame excuse to force your own beliefs onto others. She reminds me of that guy who tried to convert the North Sentinels, only she is lucky she walked out alive. What a shame a brave man had to lose his father to help her. She comes across as very selfish and mindless. And on top of that she seems very proud of it.

Humanitarian missions should have been authorised only under the agreement that Christianity would NOT be promoted - aside from her spirit and intent, how utterly foolish can a person be to wander into a region like Afghanistan, under Taliban rule, and even whisper a word about Christianity ? Unbelievable. No offense, but intellect should have been another deciding factor.

because that is part of their faith, to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. To give your life for your faith, if necessary, is part of that faith, its to serve. Jesus was beaten and tortured and gave His life for us, so its that they are willing to do the same for him. They know where they will go, after death, if they know Jesus as their personal Saviour

If this 'character wanted to help people why didn't she help the homeless and poverty-stricken people in her own country such as New York, Chicago, Detroit, etc, rather than bombing Afganistan to pieces and then claiming the USA was only there to help people? Fact is that the USA has invaded more countries than any other, and, in particular, engineered dictatorships throughout Latin America in the 1970s/80s.This is why the USA refuses to recognize the International Criminal Court as it would have been convicted of war crimes many times over. Helping Afganistan? You're having a laugh.

1997 - 23 years ago - it's like watching WW2 story in 1968 /when I was born/... somewhat impressive... Or is it? WW2 lasted for 6 years. Why are "we" - the educated, highly cultural society support Iraq and Afghanistan and Syria wars, which already last much longer than ""WORLD"" wars??? Who exactly is doing it to us? (Yes, because we as the Westerners take the blame from 3/4 of the world for that??? WHO IS REALLY RESPONSIBLE? Enough is enough, don't you think, folks?

My question is, what happened to the family she showed the movie to? How could she not realise she was putting their lives at risk by going to their actual home and showing them what she knew was illegal in their country? She comes off as very self-absorbed and ignorant🙄.
