So I just learn that this year (starting in April) I am in my fifth house (fun, joy, creativity and sensuality) in Capricorn, rule by Mars...! Yes, having a whole year takes the pressure off (rather than just a month). 5th house years are lovely as they’re about joy and passion and finding what guides you through life - what’s in your heart. Having Vesta there too is lovely 💗 As it’s Capricorn for you it’s ruled by Saturn, not mars. So definitely an emphasis on finding supportive routines and structures in your life. I find people with 5th house Saturn like to have organised fun 😆💗

i’m in a gemini 8h year and surprisingly it’s been pretty smooth SO FAR 😅. my mercury is well aspected - in leo in the 10h conjunct venus/jupiter. it is retrograde which i believe means delays could happen. the only major things that have happened so far is me getting fired from a job i’ve been at for 10 years that i started hating within last 2 years so i kinda saw this coming because my attendance went downhill and these weird scary tremors that just randomly started. of course i thought i was gonna die 😵‍💫 outside of that, normal. i’m just gonna use this time off to take care of my overall health

I hope your health is better now. I love that you’re able to focus on that going into next year. Mercury can be nervous system related from a health astrology perspective, but with yours being with both benefits you’d think it was well protected. In Leo though, perhaps a little too hot/ over stimulated. You could look at the elemental balance of your chart and see what your weak element is (I’m going to guess earth or water) and see about strengthening that. Not medical advice of course ❤️

@@kameron6994 Gemini rising in your solar return, and mars being there for AGES I would definitely see as significant. With a water ascendant in natal then I’d be looking at strengthening earth specifically. Mars being only planet in earth = hot/ disturbed earth. Grounding/ earthing/ cooling all of these actions could be what your nervous system is needing (again, not medical advice, theoretically speaking based on your astrology).

That was awesome and very inspiring! (It also reminded me that I meant to create my profection by year chart for future analysis!) Currently I'm in a Capricorn/9th/Saturn ruler year. In my solar chart, Capricorn is in the 3rd house and Pluto is there too...after Ivan's surgery in September(pluto/saturn), he has not been able to drive yet, so I had to use public transport (3rd) and decided to start the process to get a UK driving license next year (9th+3rd!!). Meanwhile transiting Saturn is in the 4th transit/10th natal house...and clearly the external pressure/problems have affected my family and professional life. Couldn't be more spot on, could it? I find that the Hellenistic Astrology is mind-blowing! (I really need to finish reading that huge book btw!LOL) Thank you,Jessica! So interesting, thanks a lot for posting. I knew of annual profections, but never intentionally worked with them. My birthday is coming up in a few days, and I’ll be moving into my 9th house of Leo with Sun as my ruler of the year. I’m a Sag rising and my chart ruler is Jupiter, and if I use whole house signs, my natal Jupiter is also in the 9th house. It would be cool to observe how they work together. I’ve been consciously working with Jupiter for a few years already as it moves through my houses (I use Placidus though for houses, not whole signs), and it’s always so on point!

I have had a few people ask me about this since I made this video. At the moment I am not offering this (it’s time intensive and would have to be expensive, and I struggle with charging properly for my time - I’m working on that). But I am considering creating a course helping people to do this for themselves. I love that once it’s learned it’s something that people can continue to do throughout their lives - the whole give a man a fish and he’s fed for a day, teach a man to fish and he’s fed for life, kind of thing ❤️

Looks like my ascendent is Aquarius, and at least until this coming March, when I will be 61, my "co-ruler" as you say, is the same as my timelord: Saturn, right? then in March it changes to Pisces/Jupiter/2nd house? Yes! So you have been having a pretty major year with your ruling planet also being your timelord and the first house focus. Most likely a lot of figuring out who you really are. Hello - just a heads up I had thought that the ascendant and sun position by definition should be identical each year (solar return), as long as it’s for the same time of day. Maybe yours changed because of factoring in BST/UT? It’s an interesting way to focus on one life area at a time though. The ascendant does change with your solar return chart (even if your location and time zone is the same) because the solar return is the point when the sun returns to the exact degree as it was when you were born. That doesn’t often correspond with your exact birth time. (It can even be the day before or day after your birthday). Does that make sense? It’s a good question 👌🏻

@@aeviwishbone2058 no, it’s not that the date and time change. It’s that the date and the time of your birth are not used to calculate the solar return. It’s the degree of your sun sign at birth which sets the solar return point. So, say you were born on 21st December at 1am, and the sun was at 28 degree Sagittarius at that moment of your birth. Your solar return is the next time the sun returns to that same point - 28 Sagittarius - which could be the 20th December at 11.45pm. It’s the sun returning to the same degree - the solar return - and not the birth time and date, which marks the solar return.

I don't use whole house but I saw where astro-seek has a profections calculator so I popped in my info and it said I'm in the 6th House in Cancer. I have been trying to work with the moon more this year. I made a moon altar and wrote a mantra for the moon that I read every night before going to bed. I still don't feel connected though. It's interesting because since I do use placidus instead of whole house my cancer is intercepted so maybe that's why I'm having a hard time connecting?

Maybe it might be helpful to lean into the 6th house themes when approaching your moon practice. So what wisdom does the moon hold for you in those areas around habits, routines, day to day work, health etc. also perhaps good to go deep into your birth moon phase, and explore the sign that the moon is in for you. These should give you clues as to what your personal Moon connection could be.

@@JessicaandtheMoon My moon is in Sag so I'm feeling extra pressured to connect with it right now. 😅 As for the 6H, mine is in Pisces PLUS it contains my NN in Pisces. I don't have any planets in my 2H or 10H so reading I've done suggests looking at my 6H for my purpose in life. So that's part of the reason I've tried to develop routines that focus on spiritual practices. The problem is that I feel like I've been faking it til I make it. So maybe you're right and doing a deeper dive into my moon in Sag might help. I know when I get out and explore different cultures it sparks something in my soul.

The chart ruler is the planet that rules your Asc, so in your case it's Venus. :) If you have any other planets in the first few degrees of your Asc (Libra), they are also very likely to heavily influence your chart. Hope that helps.

Hi, it’s tricky when you don’t know your ascendant. There are astrologers who offer rectification, where they consider life events and use techniques to determine your ascendant, but it’s an in depth process and so it’s often expensive. They did use profections with other planets in Hellenistic astrology, specially from the sun and moon, so it could be worth looking more into that. Sorry that’s not a great help 😝

Yes, you will be entering a twelfth house year, and for you that means that Venus in your time lord (because she rules your libran 12 house). As far as what that means for the year ahead, think more about what the 12th house represents (rather than the planets). A 12th house year can mean endings, bringing things to completion, shadow work/ healing old issues, hidden or esoteric things - all those 12 house themes. Do you see what I mean? Then, when you’ve got a handle on the house, you can layer in the planets. So Venus first as your time lord. Your Venus is in Aquarius conjunct mercury, so your Venus relates to home, roots, family, what lies beneath, ancestors (because 4th house) but in Aquarius and conjunct mercury this points to more of a collective and innovative take - and you’ll want to communicate about it. Perhaps you will be focused on coming together with like minded people to create a beautiful (Venus) new space or community (Aquarius) where people can weave a new vision for the future (Aquarius) which is also mindful of the past (4th house). You can look at the planets in your 12th house in a similar way. And layer them in. Do you see what I mean?

I do wanna create a beautiful community of like-minded people where we can have a vision of a new future and leave the past in the past. I also have 12 house Pluto, I do past life, regressions and have been working with Joe dispensers work on creating a new you basically. I also work with Richard Flook on advanced clearing Energetics. There’s going to be a lot of transformation happening this year. Old mindsets around wealth and money, old mindsets about who I was as a child versus who I am as an adult, bringing my children into adulthood. My second son is going to be 18 this year, so half of the work is already done. And I am myself and becoming somebody else different as well. You know I’m not raising babies, I’ve raised young men yes. And also, my father is really sick and not doing well but hopefully he can make it a little bit longer and my stepdad is also on the last thread of life so there’s lots of change happening. Especially you know, being aware of the temporal physical world, and knowing that the spirit is eternal, but having to deal with death and dying on a real physical level, and also a spiritual level, so that we can send to be the highest version of her self, which is that shadow work. So Thank you again for the clarification and I can see how this year is preparing me for something great.
