Would it surprise anyone to hear that Hero Golden-Hair actually mellows out, stops being a complete douchebag, and actually becomes a great side character? Or that Tsuya, his attendant with the huge titties, isn't actually a gold-digging harlot who was only with the hero for his status, but is actually a loyal and intelligent follower? Spoilers below. V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V In the light novel, Hero Golden-Hair and Tsuya escape from the Klyrode guards and go on the run. They managed to get away with a few bits of ill-gotten gains: a bottomless bag like Banaza was given by the king of Klyrode (but without the spells attached) and the Drill-Dozer Shovel, a magic shovel that can dig huge pits in seconds. At first Hero Golden-Hair and Tsuya try their hands at banditry (they suck at it) and then they work at a food stall at a festival (much more successful at it), before becoming magic beast hunters. See, Hero Golden-Hair's problem is that even though his stats are high (all of them are 999), they don't ever improve. Stats-wise, he can't match up to a psychobear. So instead, he becomes a master of the Drill-Dozer Shovel, digging pitfall traps to capture magic beasts so they can be killed, while Tsuya handles their funds and tries to limit their spending. They strike it rich several times, but Hero Golden-Hair, released from the immense pressure of being Klyrode's hero, lets his real kind and generous nature shine through, recruiting several people into his band of hunters (including 2 djinns), which naturally increases their expenses.

10:36 No not completely baseless. IF someone boasted about having something only elites would have and he isnt an elite, that is cause for raised eyebrows. If it was ANYONE else, it could be dubious as fuk...cause MC IS dubious as fuk hiding his true identity and wanted to escort a little girl as a stranger. But is naïve enough to not get normal social cues like showing off something fantastical to young girl but would get weird looks to anyone remotely knowledgeable. People say look for the signs and those were some bloody red signs that just happen to be thankfully false. Those gals did just about everything right, even the little girl realized how things could have gone badly. Someone could have basically said "Hey little girl.
