Such a good game . I was 12 when banjo kazooie came Out . Some of my most cherished childhood memories were playing this game all night . Miss those days

I always got stuck on the boss fight in the harbor that lets me unlock the tank, those goo monsters were super tough to shake off.

Nostalgia just gave me a Jiggy! I used to played it but never completed it for a long time and completely forgot all about it until now! For those who saw the the tech demo where Banjo and Kazooie are pursued by a horde of enemies and believed the tech demo shown the initial plot of Banjo-Threeie. It's not. Gregg Mayles (creative designer at Rare) has stated on Twitter that a Banjo game for the Nintendo GameCube was never planned. However it was Ghoulies who was planned to be.

I love this video! You said pretty much everything I've ever wanted to say about the franchise. 28:06 The Spiral Mountain layout in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge is due to most of that game taking place 20 years before Banjo-Kazooie. You saw how its landscape changed literally overnight in Banjo-Tooie's opening, I wouldn't doubt that Spiral Mountain has seen some pretty drastic landscape changes over the years. 44:47 Look more closely at the stage. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Spiral Mountain very clearly takes many cues from its Nuts & Bolts appearance, including but not limited to the geometry and palette of nearly every major landmark around the valley.

Even without the fully original staff, it's a popular enough IP that it's just money left on the table for Rare not to at least out source a production of a game, just produce it. Have some quality oversight of course, but with all the studios Microsoft just aquired by buying activision + many others, they have talented people at their disposal.

I think if Banjo Threeie is going to happen it's maybe best that Rare works together with Playtonic (to have some that have worked on BK) but also Gears for Breakfast and maybe even more indie game studios that were inspired by BK to hopefully make the best Banjo Threeie

Actually they can drop all 3 DKC Trilogy games because all of them is on SNES Online but might keep it for people without a online subscription

To be honest, if Rare isn’t gonna do anything with the IP they might as well sell it. Sell it to another stupid that will actually do something with them.
