Banjo Kazooie has been my all-time favorite game growing up! I was so excited when he was announced as a fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and when I saw all the characters included in Spiral Mountain, I decided to work on an HD remake of Banjo-Kazooie's intro scene.

I remember looking at the N64 box art and wishing I could play banjo kazooie with those graphics. Then Microsoft bought them and we got nuts and bolts and I gave up on ever seeing a proper Banjo Kazooie game and of course no one makes remakes of the old games.... Those guys did make Yooka laylee and so we got that going for us which is nice... but today however... we have Crash Bandicoot remakes, Spyro remakes, even fucking MediEvil is getting a full on remake. Now for the first time ever in gaming history, Banjo Kazooie have their own proper high quality graphical model because of Smash Ultimate. They never had that before, only in rendering in the art work but never in gameplay. So because of the remake trend and the Yooka Laylee team are just sitting around, maybe... just maybe... Banjo Kazooie could get a full blown remake. Also could you do an adding detail to spiral mountain level?

He looks better here but still quite off from the N64 version. N64 version is more thinner and feels tighter and Banjo and Kazooie more connected.

very impressive! Would you mind helping me or giving pointers on how to import models and animations into blender 2.8? Cause I found the script but its not updated for 2.8 and whenever I import a model it usually has like 50 heads put onto it.

It’s a pain haha 😂 I cycle through the heads that seem to be the default... I also use the script in blender 2.79 and bring the animation into 2.8

No problem! For the head I actually like to import the model from 3ds Max’s script because blender messes up the normals for some reason. So I parent that model to the bones from the blender script. I usually just save 2-4 of the facial expressions into a separate collection. Then turn off the visibility to the unused expressions.
