It also has to do with the shape of the instrument. In the video game, Mumbo crashes down on Banjo, Kazooie, and Tooty playing what looks to be an alto sax by its shape. It’s rendering model would have the lowest polygon count of any curved sax shape. However, the notes produced sound like those of a baritone sax. Not that Mumbo was bound by the laws of practicality in the video game intro cutscene.

This is why I say the fan is the ultimate power. The passion that had to have been put in for this animation alone is gorgeous. Not only that, but the music itself is wonderful to listen to, all the little things that make this video is fantastic. Hopefully one day we'll get a proper Banjo-Kazooie, but for now? This video makes me feel all right. Even happy. Thank you for this.
