What about the fact that the old comment are supposed to be ignored and can't be replied to, or that my google plus is basically linked for all to see when I'm signed in? The new comment style allows for so much more evil and I liked the 500 letters rule, it made you choose your words wisely when reviewing or something, now I won't say it isn't completely negative as I can just mindlessly keep typing on and on without any kind of power really stopping me, but damn if it doesn't blow up your comment section. All by opening up someone's comment without thinking, which should be safe to do. You can try to justify it all you want but in the end it is a invasion of privacy and I don't mind ranting about that. Please, don't just learn to accept this, the trolling is real and youtube is so awkwardly formatted now, in the old format made sense. "Oh, these two comments have the most likes, they should be shown because there are funny or insightful, and the viewer wants to see that". Now what we have is a jumbled mess of "first!" or play Five nights at freddie or some other bs topic that has no likes or relevance yet still is on the "Top Comments". This made the goal for getting top comment irrelevant, I find myself trying less and less to entertain in my comments now, not because I'm a attention whore, but because I won't make anyone laugh that way, as the likes are senseless. When I made a comment and it got 39+ likes and it was on the top comment I could tell people laughed, like on facebook comments, but this layout is like the bs fb comment system where you can't reply and it is just a string of random, out of time, randomly liked shit. The only thing that is the same on this page is what you see without scrolling, and that isn't enough. I like youtube for the people and the interface, this is some messed up bs. If every youtuber changed over to some other video streaming site, I wouldn't even miss this place. This is more than 500 words and there isn't any relevance to the words I picked, I could just have squeezed this in 250 words if I needed to, but I didn't. And now there is all this on your screen because youtube is messed up now, don't you agree?
