I have a banjolele but didn’t know some of this info. Thanks for this. Also, might I suggest you lower your camera so we can see you play?

I’ll have to pull out my banjolele and dust it off.

It's so neat seeing your performances on You-tube. It's like, "Hey, I know that guy!" LOL.

Greetings my good sir and kudos on an amazing video! Love your vibes! However, let's call a spade a spade: Africans were *brought* to America by force to work their lives away as slaves. I know it's a touchy subject for us banjo players, but I think it's important to always be open and honest about the actual history of this magnificent instrument that I am also in love with. Great vid htough :-)

Interesting history lesson, thank you. One thing, you want folks to sign up for your programme, do you not think you might sort out your video quality first? It was really terrible (sound was perfect) when I watched it today.

Such an interesting history lesson! Thanks :) I knew about the banjolele, but not about the history of banjo. I thought it was brought from Irish to US. I am looking for a banjolele, because banjos are too big. I like their sound but still... Not much space at home😂😂 take care :)

Gold Tone would be one of best and affordable banjoleles you could get. I use one. If you want a free 7 lesson course on bluegrass just send your email to drhdfisher@gmail.com Thanks. Dr. Dennis

Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation on the differences and history behind en! I think I'll go with a 5 string banjo if I can find one in my country. I have a question though, would you recommend an open back or one with a resonator for first time players?
@bluegrassukulelecelebration3 жыл бұрын
If you want to do bluegrass use a closed back with resonator...if you want to play clawhammer use an open back.

So sorry for my long delay. If you want to do bluegrass get a banjo with a resonator. If you want to do clawhammer get an open back. -- Dr. Dennis
