Haha I'm really not sure why I do that. It doesn't interfere with my playing though so I haven't tried to change it.

Wow! What a fun song, in sound and meaning, And what a workout for the fretting hand, too. Wow.

Thanks! Fretting this one isn't bad, the strumming at this speed however does not get along with my carpal tunnel haha

this sound is so nostalgic for me. strangely tho, the vibes (for me) come from a time and/or place and/or era i have no desire to see... were they better times than i think? i grew up back in the eastern U.S. - born in 73 (not that long ago) - and i remember being in settings that this music was made for it seems... yet somewhere along the line i became almost disgusted by what this sound seemed to "represent" (in my mind anyway). maybe it was some certain people i came across in my life who i abhorred, and i somehow associated them with this oldfangled vibe. anyway, i wouldn't want to go back east... a summer day there sounds appealing but the humidity would kill me. yet i can't seem to shake the remarkable fondness i seem to now have for this sound. a summer day at an old country home out in the rolling hills somwhere in upstate NY or Vermont or Ohio or Pennsylvania... just a romance or daydream... nothing more... sadly?

Great playing... what is your banjo model please? I'm lefty too.
@roughhouserosie Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I'm not left handed, I just use the front camera on my phone to record. But it's an open back Deering goodtime, I think they make a left handed model.

Firstly, I'd like to tell you how much of an inspiration you are! Such a gifted musician! And furthermore, you are a much braver woman than I. Now, of course, this most certainly goes for the posting of performances, but I am most particularly talking about picking with polish on! I always mess mine up whenever I go and try to pick most anything (though to be fair, I play dulcimer and electric guitar, not a proper banjo, though I use clawhammer style) (^▽^)

Thanks so much!! It usually comes off pretty quick, but having a base coat and top helps.
