I’ve searched “banjo tooie 100% WR” and saw the tas upload and wanted to watch it. But never did because I figured I wouldn’t understand everything which means I can’t appreciate as much. I wonder if there’s any instance somewhat early in the game where a second Jinjo can be collected while voiding out - my thought is that if this was the case, you could make it the last of the family to be collected and skip that second cutscene. Also, I wonder if it’s possible to manipulate the game so that Jamjars ALWAYS bonks 😂

RTA and TAS can have overlap, but I do think TAS's whole deal is about exploiting precisely these types of setups that a human would struggle with. As long as both paths are interesting to watch, I'm okay with 30+ minute time differences

There are some RTA runs that use bitclips for both Tooie and Kazooie though. Bitclipping through water might be too much but slowly people are catching up.

I'm confused, I see mentions of the bit clips being cheated or hacked in this. Is this some kind of custom rom or something? Would this tas be doable on a regular N64 and Banjo-Tooie cart?

As far as I understand it is hacked to make the bitclips easier to do, but an unhacked version would not be an slower. The only difference would be that the extremely precise calculation required to do each bitclip on a real cartridge would take an insane amount of time for a human to find even in a TAS. So yes this could be done on a real cartridge, it would just take years to find the setups for each clip. The hack skips the setup and just pretends that the TASer found the setups and does the bitclips.

Why the fuck is a twitch chat screen taking up 1/3 of the screen. Its beyond distracting seeing shit in the corner of your eye moving constantly. Based TAS rather cool an all but bruh this is youtube, twitch is considered beyond cringe by "many". This looks god damn terrible which sucks because like once again this is a rather cool TAS, its just super jarring to watch due to the layout. And I mean watching TAS's without commentary sucks unless you know everything involved with it(there is so much work put into a tas right). Full screen with commentary upload would be nice. Temped to download this as an MP3 and listen to it on VLC with the TAS video playing on youtube muted.

If its annoying as fuck that you cant watch the video clearly due to the tiny size of the screen and then a chat constantly moving on the side. Yeah there was one uploaded without the commentary. But guess what TAS's with commentaries get more views. Which is a shame because a lot of work was put into this and its a really cool TAS. I did end up downloading the video as an MP3 and watching the TAS on youtube together at the same time, which is beyond retarded. It was so much better because the TAS TOOK UP THE WHOLE SCREEN and I was able to hear people talk about what was happening going on and why. Twitch is a garbage site eceleb&"best friend" worship for money is cringe to 99% of people &youtube. its also repulsive and predatory as fuck. Sorry I insulted your "wonderful community" thats helping ruin society. Someone had to say it as critical and honestly brutal as possible. The layout is fucking god awful for the video, which again for like the 7th time is a real shame. Also youtube doesn't like promoting anything with twitch involved which kills viewership&search results. KZbin search is busted to hell now unless you have scripts&adblock you never find what you want. Make a video youtube considers bad it'll get tossed deep down on the search and wont show up on the rec tab unless X reasons. Or worse if you dont have a massive sub count and it sees twitch stuff the channel gets flag and hidden even more.
