Banjo-Tooie Remastered | JINJO VILLAGE

Project Dream is about bringing back the Nintendo 64 games Banjo-Kazooie & Banjo-Tooie back to life through a series of nostalgic cinematic trailers.
Jinjo Village, an area of the Isle o' Hags that has only appeared in Banjo-Tooie, has ten houses (one of which is in ruin) where each differently colored Jinjo Family dwells. 46 Jinjos live in the village, including their king, but when the Hag 1 came, it caused all of the Jinjos except King Jingaling to flee, and they must be rescued throughout the game. One of these Jinjo homes was for the Grey Jinjo family, which never appear in the game due to the fact that, as one can see, their home was run over by the Hag 1, possibly killing them all. A sign behind their ruined house reads: In loving memory of the Grey Jinjo Family. Passed away unexpectedly when a huge digging machine flattened their house.

Grunty's Industries has always been my favorite level ever for the colors and environments, difficulty, etc. It was the level i had the most fun.

This looks INCREDIBLE. My only criticism is that I can't picture any of the characters fitting in this environment. Still looks absolutely stunning, if you stumbled upon Jinjo Village in real life this is what it would look like

Looks great! Only things I'd suggest is Subdividing Surfaces on the ripped models so that they don't look so low poly if you're going for this realistic look.. and the UV mapping could be redone so that textures line up seamlessly (eg. the jinjo houses).. but again superb nonetheless :)

if they were going to remaster BK and BT it should be one whole game. In this version, everything would connect and they could build on previous levels and add more jiggies. This wouldn't be Banjo Threeie but the next best thing.

Spoilers but it's been out for years, so i mean. This place makes me sad. But I'm not entirely surprised in the least that Grunty drove through one of the largest jinjo families' houses out of spite. Sad that the king also died alone, in an empty ghost town, only to be left as a zombie.

Nintendo is the best place for BK but they need rare, too. The could remake DK64 and do a sequel but nothing here. It was a big mistake to sell rare. I still have the most hope in playtonic if they would work with Nintendo. I'm sure they would love to make a BK AAA game.

Strictly for fun unfortunately.. I would have no idea how to build a game! I work as an architect & these are rendered in an architectural visualization program.. However keep a look out in the future as I will be uploading more remastered levels for everyone's enjoyment!

This took a lot of talent, skill, and time. That said, I'm curious if anyone else just isn't necessarily into the design choices here? While, again, this is arguably a beefed up and 'good' rendition of Jinjo Village... I can't help but feel like that adding a lot of grass and overgrowth doesn't mean it fits the aesthetic of what the location should be. Not trying to be awful here, but there's just something about this that feels off to me. I took a moment to think about it, I think what's jarring is the attempt to be hyper realistic. I almost expect Master Chief to be walking through this environment, not Banjo and Kazooie.
