nice banjolele, one thing though, when you tighten the velum head you should tighten it like a cylinder head opposing screws style to avoid any warping,it's wood and it will warp easier than a metal cylinder head, changes in humidity will show this up after a while with uneven pressure,it won't take much, this is why high end instruments use a metal, usually brass tone ring. Again a really nice build,an all wood body has to be set up carefully to avoid warping over time. I've built a couple of guitars,i design and build audio electronics, and i've made plenty of mistakes myself. I'm so fookin jealous ,that's a nice banjolele.

Looks good! You could measure the gap at the tone ring where the screws tighten into the body at several points, say 30 degrees apart on alternating sides, with an automotive feeler Guage, and this would assure a more even tension in the head. Like your tailpiece!

Really nice job on the Banjolele John, she's a little ripper. Thanks for taking the time to film the whole process, its almost as much work as building it !!
