How do you like that Penn fierce with the baitrunner I've gotten two of them but haven't had a whole lot of chances to use them
@anthonyfoutch31522 жыл бұрын
I caught a drum on Old Hickory that was 3 or 4 times bigger than the one you caught using 90 lb braid. I didn't realize I might had a possible worlds record. I just though damn old trash fish.
@cerebraltackle2 жыл бұрын
Drum get even bigger than that. They're just not seen that often anymore. When I was a kid, I saw a Buffalo Carp hauled in that was easily 100+ pounds. The guy that had it, had it on an 1 1/4 thick rope...it broke through it with ease as he was trying to get it out of the boat.
@anthonyfoutch31522 жыл бұрын
@@cerebraltackle Maybe so but the fresh water worlds record is 54 lb 8 oz. Of course most people are like me they just treat it as a trash fish. We all thought it was way over 50 pounds. I'm 68 I was probably 58 then and I've never seen one that big. Caught some Skipjack in same area way over 3 pounds. Saw Stripers swimming there over 50 pounds. Saw them caught there over 35 pounds. It's at a power so you can't get to the best fishing spot since 911 but it wouldn't surprise me if next WW wouldn't come out of there.

I live in Iowa and when some people catch big drum the stab them in the gills and throw them back in the water or on the bank. Idk why they do that. I try to catch..... and release.
