Thank you for your update on yesterday's supreme court order. Though I am not competent to comment on the Supreme court order, i would like to express my feeling and state that the Honourable court of the highest order should take into consideration the agony of the senior citizens who are deprived of their legitimate right of pension updation etc., since a long time. So many pensioners left to the heavenly abode with out fulfilling the long awaited wish of pension updation and so on. In my view every stake holder should have the sympathy and empathy, particularly the Govt., Judiciary, IBA, and Bank unions/Associations, in resolving the problems encountered by the pensioners who are in the evening of their lives.

It is really heartening to see why court cases are prolonged decades together.Law ministry of President of India,Honble prime Minister's should reconcile the procedure of court cases with stipulations to clear the court cases to the satisfaction petitioners.Bank updation case is not a criminal case to have prolonged post ponements.Giving 3 months time instead of giving week days is nothing but to delay the justice for infinite periods.Court will be commenting about other office functionaries delay but courts are not correcting their delaying procedures.Summer holidays to courts should be put an end to clear pendency of court cases.Globally no office have summer vacations like courts and this British proples procedures(when Britishers were judges they designed summer holidays to courts to go their cool UK.After independence our Indians were judges and belong to our atmospheric conditions should not be extended summer vacations as all indians are working in summer like Honble President of India

None of the responsible group for the purpose of updation or 100% neutralisation of da for the pensioners come forward to hear our voice which is in delf ears. For the vital issue we are being made to run from pillar to post which is of no use. Every hearing the same judgement comes with some changes in wording with different dates. Until and unless our representative is posted in the board in all Banks it is very much difficult to press our position in a positive attitude. Jai Hind. Bharat Mata ki Jai.

All the comments should be made known to the petitioners' counsel without any delay so that if at all any humanity remains in the heart of the said counsel will awake and fight for the justice. When present chairman of IBA ,Mr. Mallikarjan Row , who is going to be retired on 31st January,2022 have failed to solve the problem of updation of Bank pension of Bank retirees during the tenure of his service as chairman, how does the new comer solve it with in a short period of time: within three months ? They will reconstitute another committee with a chairman whose retirement date is within 3 months so that they can ask for another extension. This process will go on and on with out any outcome. This is the IBA tactics and the GOI will be a mute spectator.

The chairman's retirement in Jan was known to everybody. He could have been replaced by some other had IBA was serious on submitting the report as per court's direction. Surprisingly, the petitioner's advocate also does not seem to have objected to IBA's plea for extension on such flimsy grounds. The court also has happily granted time of 3 months. Long live pensioners !

United andolan of bank retirees Unions and working bank staff Union is the need of the time as IBA is prolonging the retirees's genuine demands since long thus letting the retirees die ultimately. Honourable SC and High Courts who are always giving justice to employees are prayed to take quick decisions thus defeating the delaying technology of IBA/Government as such giving justice to bankers who are being deprived of their lawful entitlements . Really a great discrimination will bank retirees in the open daylight. Why the centre government employees service rules are not automatically applicable to we bankers ? Why baseless negotiations and committees after committees .

Sir, we fail to understand why the counsel for bank pensioners hasn't raised any convincing arguments against the flimsy excuse offered by IBA and its very obvious recourse to cheap dilatory tactics. Why was the failure of that Mallikarjuna Rao guy, who was given extension of service specifically for completing the task of finalizing the report on bankers' pension updation, to complete its basic duty before his final retirement pointed out to the Honourable Court? And Why didn't he/she stress on the pathetic predicament of pensioners esp those who retired 2 decades or longer ago, who have been drawing pensions much less today than those who retire now in two or more cadres below theirs and whose pension is not enough even to meet minimum medical expenses at advanced age? Can we rest assured that bankers' interest is in competent hands?

Again and again adjornments are requested by IBA and associations who are not at all in favour of retirees or for their livelihood but associated / worked with us and the court intern dancing according to their tunes are endless. Looking at the same we, poor pensioners have to lose our hope day after day. Those who started working on the same some decades ago are no more on the earth and we who are 75 plus are in a fag end of December counting our days. We who toiled for our country by serving in almost all levels starting from rural, urban, semi-urban and Metro cities for more than 35 years doing our best to all getting meagre amount of pension. By God's grace till now we are not depending on our children in any way for our livelihood. I have thank our Bank Management for getting our pension till date. The authority of making our updation of pension is with judiciary followed by management through IBA.

Very much regretted to hear from you for further prolonged period and it may not end up by 3 months. Having taken such a long time to give the report by now it seems only to drag on the time unnecessarily by wasting the precious time of the court the IBA is doing so. For such cases and repeated adjournments the judiciary should come forward taking the time bound action so that none need to waste precious time as they think. Central Government have to pass a new enactment of laws so that time is to be fixed.
