This was a great video using PQ for a bank rec. Thanks: The only thing is how to clean up the pdf file if it doesn't come in PQ

Glad you like it! In that case and in my experience, I'm guessing that the pdf is from an scanned document, which can be seeing as a "picture"; therefore Power Query is not able to extract information from it. Useful. But it'll only work if the description exactly matches that on the bank when inputting into the books and records, which is not usual in reality.

You can also use two left-anti queries to do the work of the xlookup and filter functions.
