Ans 1. It must have a duration of atleast 6 months so it seems good. Ans 2. Do not put fix amount, u can deposit ur money in installments, and try to use and show daily or weekly transaction so it can express ur good balance sheet to embassy.

Ma'am my father works in Europe and have a bank account in a European bank. He doesn't have a bank account over here in India, but my mother have one here, but she doesn't work. My parents started an FD for my education, and currently it have 5x the value required for Italian student visa finance. And that FD will be broken for paying off for my study expenses.
