Sir my doubt is, HDFC & ICICI both are listed in Stock Exchange. I think we should consider them public sector bank. Because a company become pvt Ltd to Ltd , when they issue IPO.

public sector banks are those where major portion is owned by central govt. banks like hdfc, icici are purely private.
