i just put a pedal monster on my 2018 3500hd l5p and it works great my truck has 223k miles on it it hauls ass now with just the pedal monster i dont see why anyone would want to spend money on a tuner and all the other add-ons when the pedal monster does it all. i have never had a truck with this much power just from installing a simple throttle booster.. i just wished banks would make a pedal monster that i could use on my 2 ls 6.0 swapped trucks with the plastic pedal it would make them run as good as the duramax .

Due to using a edge cts3 and trying to use the banks one or the other is always causing issues... ditching my banks pedal monster and putting edge amped 2.0 in my lml and I'll only have the cts3 plugged into my obdII port. No more fighting to see what gets power 1st...

Awesome vids pal, I also have a L5P 2018 with the Derringer, IDash and pedal monster. Like you showed it’s daylight and dark between stock and these goodies. My question is I’m running the Pedal Monster and Derringer split screen on my IDash. Can you change the three parameters that’s in the middle to three you want? I didn’t know if we are stuck with what they have preset. Thanks for great videos.

I'm looking to get the lag out of my pedal. I'm conflicted in spending the extra money for the Derringer. Not looking for more power. I thing it has plenty but looking for less lag on the pedal. Does it make a big difference without the derringer? Or is the Derringer a must have? Thank you for the video.

Albert- you do NOT need the derringer for this part! Even in stock mode it is insane. You have 30 levels of adjustability. It is an absolute game changer. I am returning my Pedal monster to BANKS for a refund, Cuck my sales person LIED to me about how it works. when i installed it i knew it was exactly as i expected. it wired in series with the pedal sensor. all it does it make the throttle open faster then your pressing the pedal. it's a placebo all it does it make you think the truck has more power. i was TOLD it would eliminate the turbo lag, big fat lie to get my money! shame on you Chuck! i can press the accelerator myself i don't need a different map to do that for me. i don't like RICE performance parts and that's exactly what this part does. Chuck said the device will bypass the factory programming, he said the factory tune programs a lag into the engine for emissions reasons. that was a big fat lie! all it does it advance the throttle and at max setting will give you full throttle at approximately half pedal travel. doesn't add any power doesn't eliminate any lag! how can it? it takes the signal from the pedal and modifies it to the ECM the ECM controls the variable turbo vanes and turbos need time to spool to make boost simple as that. only way your going to eliminate lag is to find a way to mechanically spool the turbo or eliminate back pressure.. i live at 6500 feet ASL nothing i can do about that. save your money

462opd- It can work as a stand alone unit. Using an app on your phone. It can work with a derringer and a switch, or a derringer with an Idash. My setup happens to be a derringer with an idash. If you want the pedal monster only, you can hook it right to the pedal, pair it with Bluetooth, and your set. And the app is free. About a 15 minute install and setup!

It adds no power. Just adjusts the throttle. The derringer actually adds more power. I run both. And love it!

Favorite setting is probably City level 10. Just enough for me. Yes I run it in combo with the derringer. And yes you can display it all at the same time. You can display so much stuff it’d take you a year to figure out all the combinations. ANYTHING YOU WANT can be displayed on the data monster gauge. It’s awesome!

As long as it says it fits your vehicle it will work. You still have an ECM and it’s still OBDII. Don’t quote me but I think it will work. I would recommend doing some more research before purchasing.

Hector Mata - It’s very simple. I couldn’t film it because I film the videos on my phone. All you do if download the app. It’s in the instructions. Hook to Bluetooth. And press the pedal a couple of times. It literally takes 60 seconds!

Just to operate the pedal monster that’s all you need. The pedal monster only. No idash or derringer needed. You can simply download the Banks app on your smartphone, plug it in and boom. Change settings on your phone. Entire set up that was is like 10 mins.

@@rickg-funk3144 - It intercepts the pedal signal and modifies it. Because the throttle is drive by wire (electronically controlled) there is some big delays. This acts as the throttle is connected with a cable. ZERO hesitation. Its hard to explain. But holy crap , this thing feels crazy now!
