In every moment, a choice exists. We can cling to the past or embrace the inevitability of change... And allow a brighter future to unfold before us. Such an uncertain future may call for even more uncertain allies. Either way, a new day is coming, whether we like it or not. The question is will you control it, or will it control you? What if I said I would break your heart? What if I said I have problems that made me mean? What if I knew I would just rip your mind apart Would you let me out? Maybe you can stop before you start Maybe you can see that I just may be too crazy to love If I told you solitude fits me like a glove Would you let me out? [Chorus:] You ought to know where I'm coming from How I was alone when I burnt my home And all of the pieces were torn and thrown You should know where I'm coming from [Verse 2:] What if I said I was just too young? What if I said I was built on bricks of carelessness and crumbs What if I said I'd be gone before I could come Would you let me out? [Chorus] [Bridge:] Your soul outweighs my own, my own But you turn me away from my low blows Boy, you should've known [Chorus x2]

this song reminds me of someone who came to me when I was down and out. She gave me a reason not to give up so I fell in love with her. Little did I know she was just as broken, I fought for 3 years to pull her out of it. To return the favor and love her harder than every single scar she'd ever known. It wasn't enough. She wouldn't let herself heal, or love me back. She's gone now and even if I never get to see her again, never hold her and never touch her I hope she remembers me and that I'll always love her.

@@bjs1762 So I'd forgotten that I ever even posted this. For me personally; I have this weakness, this most sincere vulnerability for seeing the pain within other people. But what burns so much stronger is the underlying potential, the goodness, the kindness, the capacity for love. If there is something worth loving I always see it and I always do. To the extent that sometimes a person riddled with pain can't seem to understand why I do. I think it's because I'm a very empathetic person, which contrary to popular belief when you are you are almost always enraptured in pain. If it isn't your own then it's the sadness and needlessness of those around you. And this world is so, so, so full of pain. One of the very LAST THINGS that this person I loved so dearly has said to me is this: "Somewhere, sometime, and someplace out there there's a universe where we've met and we both got to love each other." At the time I was dealing with so, so, so much. And not just her it was like life was wringing every last measure of hope, compassion, and the will to even exist that I had left. Around that time another person that I cared for very much convinced me to use my gift at writing as a form of self-expressive therapy. I could not wait to visit a world where I got to love her, a world where I got to express the love I had for all the women who made such an impact in my life. Infact subconsciously I think I needed one to either try to save myself or in the naive hope that I could save ANYBODY else from the kind of pain that I had. So, I sat down and I created that world. It's a series of stories, a kind of I.P. or Franchise akin to something like "Starwars" that binds musical influences with creative writing to produce a narrative that has this weird, yet unfettered wholesome "therapeutic effect" so far on those that have read it. The story takes place in a world that closely mirrors our own, Science fiction steeped in realism & psychedelia in equal measure. Through the story it conveys a tale that intermixes science with spiritualism, pain with humor, sardonicism with a very deep sense of love and compassion that isn't quite so obvious but gets deeper and deeper as you delve into the story. The characters or protagonists within the story are mostly alien or reminiscent of early science fiction tropes that are kind of subverted to give you a more modern perspective. Each of the characters embody some aspect of trauma, mental illness, neurodivergency, all rooted within real people I've actually known that inspired each of them. Each with their own individual perspectives, background, issues and how they come to carry them and how these attributes define who they are for better or worse. In short, the things that I saw and that I loved within other people especially those women who couldn't quite understand what I saw in them. The series is called "Kinder Cosmic", I found out later through sharing it that it had this same "release" or "therapeutic effect" on others that I initially put into it for myself to try to survive and try to cope. The series has about 7 "protagonist", 3 of them are those women. And so far women themselves, women that I don't even know have told me that its left a positive impact upon them. That through reading these various stories with the lady characters within it they can FEEL the love, like it is there, just as real as the ground we all walk upon. That it's made them feel good, made them feel seen, actually gave something to them of personal value. Right now I mostly just share my stories for free in the Hope's that it'll one day help others. But it's my sincerest hope that maybe someone can see it where I can do more with it and leave a lasting impact, a positive one on as many as I possibly can. If I could ever give anyone a word of advice to this effect. Never stop loving, never. Never stop fighting to let such a thing exist and let it out anyway you can. Maybe you'll never get to be with the person you want or maybe you'll never even get to experience it like others do. I can't tell you for how long, how many times since I was a very small child I just wanted someone to love me. Someone to see me in the way that I see others and cant even help it if I wanted to. I think for some of us, for me atleast; I never got to have what I wanted because if I did I'd just have been contented. I'd have stopped fighting and stopped trying. Some of us I think have to be that person for others, even if we've got to go without. Because pain knows pain and love knows love, there isn't near enough of it in the world and someone has to. I think even if I never get what I wanted, if I could help others heal. Help them experience it and give them something they sorely needed that they thought another might never understand and might never know. If I could just do that, leave a lasting impression throughout time. A world that others could visit and use to inspire them towards bringing it into reality, shaping and melding a world that better understands and better loves. Than that's worth it, it is. It is the most heavy price to pay, there isn't a fucking second in the day that I don't miss her, that I don't want to see her, that that shit doesn't burn. But if I could do that then I'd gladly carry it for her for the rest of my life and maybe find my contentment.
