For the museums to get a couple of Bankseys is a great donation and draw for a whole new sector of art lovers.

Banksy did some of his art in park city utah and the town was so impressed that they bolted glass over the top of the art to protect it, than a time later someone "vandalized" it by what looked like hammer marks spread over glass. I suspect banksy vandalized his own art work, or rather, the glass that someone else put over it. at the least it would make for a good story. 🔨😎

This man is and will always be the soul of British art, there's a guy in newport called emenie and he's good but every piece is just a diluted Banksy style piece. Seems all he uses is stencils, quick 30 second tag and then of they go, most the time just using one paint

You think someone from NPR could toss together more interesting questions. She's asking how he manages to hang these artworks while production is feeding us security camera footage of exactly how he did it. He acted casually, waited til no one was watching, and fuckin' shoved them against the wall with whatever adhesive he used. It's not rocket science. A more interesting question may have been "Why?" or "What do you plan to do next?" Banksy wouldn't have answered either of them directly, but at least they'd be interesting questions.

How does he hang up art clandestinely in museums?*** EASY*** : A. DRESS INCONSPICIOUSLY and BE FAST- FOCUSED- and ACT LIKE YOU WORK THERE B. Have everything preplanned and rehearsed; USE DOUBLE SIDED TAPE C. EXIT AREA QUICKLY & QUIETLY! or Copy a museum workers / staff uniform!

Yeah, but is it REALLY illegal to hang your OWN artwork in a museum??? You aren't touching the artwork that's already there nor are you really vandalizing or damaging anything (with most likely removable sticky tape/putty). I can't think of any reason it would actually be illegal to be honest.

Why is it illegal? I don't think it should be illegal if it's the real Banksy. Do the museums get to keep those pieces which surely worth a lot of money?

.. Why do we want to know who he is? We don’t need a face to the name to enjoy the art.

I agree with you, logically, but I'm strangely invested in finding out and confirming that this is Robert del Naja. Ridiculously obsessive on my part. Kind of curious what part of my brain is driving this need.
