Banky & everyone else that story was really real ! On Nottoway between 94 & 96 a guy named McQueen, about 6 ft. tall, dark brown with a bald head. He was a 7th or 10th degree black belt, very calm & respectful ! BUT DEADLY, he was featured in a Bruce Lee movie & he had the articles to prove it.

I just loved the way you told this story, it was fabulous. One thing I can say you can definitely see it and feel it when you graphically describe the scenes. One thing I know and have seen by being around quite a few of these martial artists, is that they are very humble, sincere, and they know their skill. Some people feel intimidated and afraid of them and I feel that's because they are projecting their negativeness to them instead of just leaving it alone. As you mentioned, he was meek and never bothered anyone, so it just shows how negative people can easily push a situation way beyond the forgiving level and end up being destroyed. I've seen this type of behavior out here in freedom, and it doesn't end well. Thanks Bank, for another rendition of this story. I am glad you were able to treat us to your blessed and diverse memory's. Thanks.

Want to encourage you as you have become a master storyteller and provide a clear picture to those that might need to hear your experience. It isn’t as easy as you make it seem to paint a picture as vivid and clear as you do. The scene, the feelings, the emotions, the colorful characters and commentary is amazing. I would love to hear challenges you experienced as a civilian transitioning from prison. I work with ex-offenders daily and often struggle with helping them interpret or better yet misinterpret encounters outside the prison walls. Had one guy (with so much potential) bust a guy in his face for the way he looked at him. He struggled to gage a treat outside the prison environment. Thanks again for your stories.

Damn brah, with this story you made me think back to when I was stationed in Japan with this Filipino cat who was heavy into Muay Thai .... this dude was small as hell (around 5'5" 135 pounds) but was absolutely VICIOUS with his feet. Never seen him fight anyone, but I saw him do martial arts exhibitions/demonstrations with other Muay Thai experts. I fear no man, but that's the type of dude you'd have to shoot. The stuff I saw that man do at those exhibitions to this day seems humanly impossible ...

Man i'm a martial artist too and it's sooo interesting seeing how people will act the way they're really supposed to act, or change how they deal with you just because they know what you can do to em... I was a staff member in a California prison for 7 years and I can tell you them CO's, other staff, as well as the inmates treat you with a different level of respect too.
