@@NetherPrime Funnily enough the death threats were most probably coming from anywhere but Africa, I live in North Africa (which is essentially in the better parts of the continent) and I'm forced to buy bottled water cause tap water is downright asking to get some form of disease. What he said was completely true and I'm partially privileged because I'm ABLE to buy bottled water. Blunt and brutal but true. People are just butthurt because he hit the nail on the head. When I saw this clip live I was legit cackling and just chanting "TRUUUUUUUUUE, preach!" while enjoying my time watching him play the game as I waited for the potato servers to get fixed. The guy is too honest for his own good and the internet is too used to being babied and sugarcoated that when someone spits facts in their face they get defensive and violent.

I'm actually perfectly fine with the streamer priority queue, given that GGG doesn't charge for the game. To me, it's akin to GGG advertising. - they want their spokesperson to be able to play especially on league launch. However, anyone in the priority queue should be 110% exempt from any of the "firsts".

I am amazed that they got away with it, GGG is lucky that streamers are afraid too much of their income to take legal actions, since they cant ban someone to use available resources in game in their favor, its GGG fault, they should apologize to players for making that oversight, rather than putting blame on streamer to try redirect their failure. They catch a lot of bugs, but sometimes a problem isnt considered until it actually happens, meaning some bugs slip through, which is the whole point of the layered safety net, starting with game testers, and continuing with hotfixes for problems like this.

@@davidhawley9291 the problem is, they have multiple years to develop, test and debug their mechanics. it’s not acceptable that a small group of players finds an exploit in just a few days, but it’s a complete oversight to the devs. this would be more acceptable if it were an actual “bug” in the code, but it was an unintended mechanic. meaning, they didn’t test all possible ways that the mechanic could be abused.

On one side, i am glad that GGG is trying to take action and go against exploiting. On the other hand, they haven't for much worse stuff and propably won't be for worse stuff in the future. It's understandable that they had to do something, but they could've at least be a little more lenient with the punishment. Non-streamers would propably have never been caught doing this and you guys reported it and made it public for GGG to see and do something about it. A 2 week ban or 'cleansing' your accounts (e.g. resetting your characters and stash tabs as if you never set foot into this league) might have been a much fairer decision. Anyhow, glad you don't take it all to heart, i will eagerly be awaiting your variety streams - until you break PoE next league yet again! :D

That is not true actually. I remember back in the day, there was a time when people could exploit the martyrs for extra loot. They juiced the map for extra quant and then guided the martyr to affect as much mobs as possible. And then they killed the map. They had what you have on the screen across the whole map.

honestly it doesn't matter about anything else for priority queue... the big plus side for priority to your streamers and top 1% is not just for advertising...but they can usually find issues faster than you can or think of things you did not. I would like to see how much balance and fixes were done because of priority logins/streamers.

The same people saying its wrong to say "life isn't fair" are the people sending death threats, tell you to off yourself, comparing you to a certain 1940s political leader, etc. Caving to reddit virtue signaling is never a good idea. Reddit is a very specific group of people with a very specific set of opinions. On the ban, I support GGG finally cracking down. However, I don't think this was the most clear-cut instance. The fact that the mobs stop spawning after a duration indicates to me that they knew the survival encounters were going to be a potential problem. Instead of actually fixing the problem, they cut corners and just put a limit on mobs spawns. Their pre-emptive fix failed because they didn't playtest it in juiced deliriums. When they saw what it dropped, they realized their mistake, got pissed at you and themselves frankly, and vindictively banned people to scare people away from taking advantage of their shitty design choices in the future. If I were a streamer I would have taken advantage of this too because I would have assumed that, because there is a spawn limit, it was reviewed by them and left in the state it was in. Scummy decision by GGG, but I'm not against bans in general for hardcore exploits like duping.

I think the ban ended up being for not just the limit testing part, but from actually picking up and profiting from it. Had you only been limit testing a bug/exploit, you wouldn't have been banned, but you profited from it under the guise of "limit testing". Lesson learned, I guess.

Life isn't fair is an excuse Most often people say life isn't fair when the unfairness is something that benefits them, when the unfairness is usually something they can solve. I don't say "life's not fair" because somebody born in Africa has limited access to clean drinking water, I say "wow we should fix that" Sure I can't just run a pipe all the way to Africa to fix the problem myself, but apathy is worse than at least saying "no that's not right" In the case of "streamer queue" the problem is not that the queue exists, the problem that needs to be solved is the situation that causes that queue to even exist, case in point, the fact that league start has long queues of people trying to play is a sign that the servers are not big enough. It's one thing for a new game launch to struggle, but when they're coming out with new leagues all the time and they ALL have this issue, they need to be investing in better servers. While I think people talking about it from a racial perspective are just idiotic, it is true that saying "life's not fair" is just an excuse, an excuse used by the people in power to express how those less fortunate than them were meant to be less fortunate.

Funny but the feature was added by path of exile himself. First by pausing the survival whenever ur outside and second by not pausing the spawn time either. So all you haters that be crying that he abused a bug. No,it was a feature and more people did it aswell. The difference being the guy was honest and reported the bug and others didn't. And GGG rewards the unfair. Even if he collected some gear from 3 maps. Do yall really believe that made a huge increase in his currency? He had wayyy more currency before even doing that. He just played with it,it wasn't any dumbly broken considering he already had loots that were freezing the game. Also fun fact. GGG instead of actually rewarding those that actually report the bug,they ban them. You should have stopped when you first found the exploit, no need to try to push it further, even for memes. Using exploits in multiplayer games is bannable and for a reason. Use exploits in Mario 64 and no one will care.

Thats not true at all LOL. Glitch is a games problem. Not player's problem. Fixing the game is the right way. Not banning players. Glitches are literally used in all game groups online and singleplayer. So dont talk out of your ass

@@Whipc1 Exploting a glitch to create an unfair advantage over other players is bannable. Finding a glitch by accident, reporting it and then playing normally is the right way to do it. There's a difference between duplicating blocs in solo minecraft and hiding inside glitched objects in apex or Warzone to kill other players to boost your K/D. It's a developer problem but it wasn't intended this way and the players are doing specefic actions to abuse that glitch. Don't tell me the players aren't guilty too, you're delusionnal.

Preach queen! The streamer priority thing was imo stupid, but the reason it was stupid, was because they f...ed up something about the character transfer thing, which made the queue so insanely long. If it was a normal queue, im pretty sure no1 would have cared about streamer priority.

The streamer priority queue is a very good thing, so you can watch the stream while you are in the queue. Just idiots hate about this. But the world is full of idiots. Somebody has to be the first on the server and it makes much more sense to let streamers be the first ones.

@@FSM_Soleran they did. They invested a lot of money into streamers and if they didn't do priority queue, that's slot of wasted marketing money. As a game developer, that was an acceptable decision. People think that because it's just a game it's also not a business.

That was good I the moment decision making since marketing money was spent Then they made a post about how they wouldn't do it in the future and how it affects it for everyone. That's also good to avoid it in the future. In my opinion, people will still play poe. Poe2 will be played heavily, and this is all just a learning lesson for them. It doesn't hurt their numbers like people think it does

life is not fair indeed, the ban was not justified in my opinion and it's a way of GGG not losing face. I don't think people should be punished if they found an exploit, THE PURPOSE OF THE WHOLE GAME is to find a mechanic that is exploitable enough to get rich from. People get tricked, flipped, and scammed ALL THE TIME EVERY FUCKING league. I even did some exploits of my own which resulted in crashing the whole instance multiple times but not for currency drop tho. Still, I think GGG should have sent a warning BEFORE the ban hammer and this is not the way a company should behave to its players. GGG You promised us that you will not nerf any specific mechanic after the league starts and banning and silencing people is not the way to go about this, but rather to admit defeat and just let it go. It will keep happening GGG trust me.

Good thing they punished it, but honestly they should just have deleted your characters along with everything in stash instead - As you were clearly just limit testing it, which you're known for doing, as well as stating you don't wanna do it. Hopefully they learned from this mistake for the next time something like this happened. Streamer priority is honestly a fair thing, as then players have something to watch while in que, rather than jerking off to themselves getting in 0.2s faster. And no, life isn't fair. You gotta deal with the hand you've been dealt, and make the most out of it. Some have better odds, and some have ridicolous odds compared to others - But sheer will and determination will get you anywhere. Take care Empy, you are a god among men.
