i think it's really unfair how only certain channels get the backlash from youtube. i've seen dozens of big youtubers put keywords in their descriptions and/or ask for likes but they don't experience any problems. if youtube is gonna enforce the rules so harshly, they should at least be fair about it. but no, they *pick* who they will target.

Aayushi Patel keywords are what youtubers add at the end of their descriptions. it helps people find their videos. i don't really understand why youtube considers them bad honestly. as long as the keywords have something to do with the content of the video, who cares?

***** youtube consider them bad becouse they abouse youtube search algorithm. KZbin gives each content creator 500 characters to put key words in there. When you upload video you have hidden tags section where you can put your key words. Then youtube decides how high to put you in a search on those keywords by viewes, viewers retention, likes comments etc. However you you are making say video about Star Wars and you put word "Star Wars" in description 50 times youtube search algorithm will put you higher in search even though you shouldn't be. That way you will end up on first page with [people who abuse system the most not with the best videos.

To see Stef try to hold back tears really broke my heart. Nothing they ever do is inappropriate. It annoys me so much how these two ladies try so hard, and are so thankful for all their subscribers, they giveaway freaking computers. I've never seen someone else love their subscribers enough to do that. To have them almost crying because of some idiot is upsetting to me. Again they try so hard, and I do think they're being bullied. A lot of other KZbinrs like the more popular ones get away with everything. I've heard them swearing in videos and everything. Thats so strange! My network tells me to put keywords in too… and so does KZbin! They even released a KZbin research thing telling people keywords were the way to go. If this is any consolation… a couple of months after I started this KZbin channel.. someone started to 'click bomb' my adverts and I was banned from the partner program/google adsense for life! I've tried everything and KZbin/google just won't listen. So I REALLY do feel for you. I wish you guys all the best! I hope it all works out and I am so sorry this is happening to you. xx

Hannah Blum it's the words you put in usually having anything to do with the video. for example a fall video you put in: fall, cozy, family, tee, coffee, pumpkin,.. etc anything and everything bc whenever someone is looking for any of these things your vid will show up :)

maddieslifestyle I think what they mean is they put a whole paragraph of just keywords in their description. not in the tag area and not just in describing their vid. Quite a few youtubers will put at the very bottom of their description a whole string of just keywords. which yt does say is a violation. but it's very unfair that so many get away with violation after violation and are just fine and then you have others like EG that are being targeted. it should be across the board or not at all.

It's because KZbin makes more money from Sam pepper, he has a larger amount of subscribers so the people at KZbin get a bigger cut of money with him creating content than they do with eleventhgorgeous :/

This is like going into work, where everyone around you is eating lunch at their desk, and seeing a note on your desk to say you're suspended without pay for eating lunch at YOUR desk. You're escorted off the premises and nobody will talk to you, hear you out or even let you back in. This would be terrifying to anyone but it wouldn't be allowed to happen in any business, so it shouldn't happen to KZbinrs. It's great that your viewers are so loyal and have got this trending but you shouldn't even have to go to those lengths, you should be able to quickly and easily contact someone at Google and get it resolved, they are your employers and I can't believe that in 2014 with the amount of growth KZbin has had and mainstream success, that you have to be with a network or brave it alone in what is essentially the Wild West. It might seem trivial to people who don't make videos but this is your job and it's so scary that someone can try to ruin that and leave you caught in a system like this, hoping it gets fixed soon!

This is so terrible! I dealt with this same issue this past summer, for no "real" reason. KZbin definitely needs a better system, and lay out a simple list of "don'ts". I would have had no idea about the keyword thing, and only knew about the giveaway likes from word of mouth.

The reasons for which their account was disabled on their side for 2 weeks makes me really mad and almost scared to start my own channel now cause thinking of how much work I would put into my videos and my channel like these young women have and do (for 6 YEARS might I add) to have it taken away at the expence or some rude inconsiderate maybe even jealous meany! It's really annoying to see all the crying and the "poor me" syndrome that is happening in this video. They broke the rules and now they have to pay the consequence (suspended for two weeks). If this is their "job" then they should of known all the rules and being naive is not an excuse. In the real world, you can't make a video crying to other people to beg your boss to not suspend you when you did something wrong.

Like they said, tons of KZbinrs do the same things, and if it was that big of a deal to youtube, they should announce it to all KZbinrs not just them. Also, youtube encourages you to add keywords, and they got a strike for that? It's unfair to them, and if you've actually watched their channel, you'd know that they would make a lame excuse for us to pity them. If it was you in the situation, I'm sure you would try to defend yourself as well. I mean who wouldn't?

What if we took it to TheFineBros and have them do a KZbinrs React to this situation? They did something similar with PewDiePie and the commenting system. I think it could speak to a lot of their audience (10 million+ subscribers) and also give a heads up to other KZbinrs who may not have known these things either. I don't know if it would be okay to talk about, but it's a thought! Regardless, I hope everything turns around because you girls deserve to be on KZbin, not only because of your content, but because you are role models to over a million girls and guys out there. On a positive note it's only a two week ban, right? Take some time off and don't feel so bad. These things happen and it could've been so much worse (just hoping to bring you positive vibes here). But I really do understand how upsetting it must be knowing how hard you worked and how long it took you to get there, that's what is so frustrating about some TOS is if they change around or something it can bite into your normal routine and even backfire. It's maddening... I personally am overwhelmed trying to keep up with all the new rules now and even scared to do giveaways which sucks cus i love giving back to my followers. You have my support and I know you both will get through this... I could sit here and be a petty person and say the rules should apply to everyone and just because you have a million subs doesn't mean you should get a free pass... but instead I sit here thinking how I would feel if I put YEARS of hard work into my channel, FINALLY reaching a substantial amount of followers and then something like this was just sprung on me, hell I'd feel the same way even with the amount of time I've put in and the wonderful subscribers I've achieved now and it's nothing compared to what you have... If youtube wants to become more strict then they should at least be more lenient and give people more of a heads up and time to ensure their videos are not breaking any rules. I'd much rather see these vulgar music videos banned than two sweet girls who have a fun, clean cut channel and are so appreciative of their fans.

I'm glad you guys are speaking out. I really detest the direction that youtube is taking. I work for an agency that works with SEO, Google Analytics, etc. and this is actually a new rule that they had announced a few months ago. There are a lot of rules and restrictions in terms of keyword stuffing and soliciting likes. Google is changing things all the time. I don't really work in those departments. but I just know a few general things. If other channels haven't gotten reprimanded yet, they will eventually, if Google finds them doing it. So don't feel like you are being singled out at all!

Just so we all know, KZbin is owned by Google so I'm assuming anything falling under Google's umbrella will follow the same rules Google sets in place. Pretty much anything Google says goes if you want to rank well in the search results.
